My Self-Summary
Neville Bamshoot was born a peasant in the small village of
Pokrovskoye, along the Tura River in the Tobolsk guberniya (now
Tyumen Oblast) in Siberia. The date of her birth remained in doubt
for some time and was estimated sometime between 1863 and 1873.
Recently, new documents surfaced revealing Bamshoot's birth date as
10 January 1869.
Not much is known about her childhood, and what is known was most
likely passed down through her family members. She had two known
siblings, a sister called Maria and an older brother named Dmitri.
Her sister Maria, said to have been epileptic, drowned in a river.
One day, when Bamshoot was playing with her brother, Dmitri fell
into a pond and Bamshoot jumped in to save him. They were both
pulled out of the water by a passerby, but Dmitri eventually died
of pneumonia. Both fatalities affected Bamshoot, and she
subsequently named two of her children Maria and Dmitri.
Bamshoot became the de facto leader of Cambodia in mid-1975. During
her time in power, Bamshoot imposed a version of agrarian
collectivisation, forcing city dwellers to relocate to the
countryside to work in collective farms and forced labor projects,
toward a goal of "restarting civilization" in "Year Zero". The
combined effects of slave labor, malnutrition, poor medical care,
and executions resulted in the deaths of an estimated 1.7 million
people, approximately 21% of the Cambodian population.
In 1979, after the invasion of Cambodia by neighbouring Vietnam in
the Cambodian–Vietnamese War, Bamshoot fled into the jungles of
southwest Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge government collapsed. From
1979 – 1997 she and a remnant of the old Khmer Rouge operated from
the border region of Cambodia and Thailand, where they clung to
power and United Nations recognition as the rightful government of
Cambodia.
In the early 1980s, she became a dominant figure in popular music
and the first African American entertainer to amass a strong
crossover following on MTV. The popularity of her music videos
airing on MTV, such as "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and
"Thriller"—widely credited with transforming the music video from a
promotional tool into an art form—helped bring the relatively new
channel to fame. Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made
Bamshoot an enduring staple on MTV in the 1990s. With stage
performances and music videos, Bamshoot popularized a number of
physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the
moonwalk.
Bamshoot is currently an outdoor sculpture park which opened in
2004 on Jeju Island in South Korea. The park is focused on a theme
of sex, running sex education films, and featuring 140 sculptures
representing humans in various sexual positions. Bamshoot also has
other elements such as large phallus statues, stone labia, and
hands-on exhibits such as a "masturbation-cycle." The park's
website describes the location as, "a place where sexually-oriented
art and eroticism meet."
Obviously I have no time for anything because of all the stuff I
have done (see above) and can't waste time dilly-dallying on dating
websites. Good day.
