My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So this is me in a nutshell: I like to laugh, I like to listen and I like to learn about myself and others. I'm not flashy and I'm not the guy that would necessarily catch your eye or stand out in a crowd or a bar. But I'm decent looking (and look young for my age) and I am well worth taking your time to get to know.

I like walks in the rain, holding hands, talking for hours on end over everything and nothing, holding a good woman, looking at the stars at night, visiting art galleries & museums, antique shops and Mackinaw City. I love pottery and things with a renaissance flair, and yes that includes a renaissance fair. (Live music & shows, shops filled with homemade items, incense in the air and the laughter of friends made there! How can you beat that?)

I've worked for the same company for over 25 years and I love the industry I work in. I'm great at my job and I like the people I work with.

I'm dedicated to my loved ones, family, my friends and my work. I'm honest, have a great and wicked sense of humor and dependable. In most matters I'm comfortable with leading or following, but when it comes to relationships my partner must be an equal.

I've enjoyed hiking, photography, downhill skiing, water skiing, snowmobiling and bike riding. At this point in my life I prefer hotels to tents, A good warm winter coat rather one that just looks good and a night relaxing at home with friends instead of hanging out every night at the bar. I'm a huge fan of music, enjoy a good glass of wine and great company.

I'm a man that enjoys and finds wonder in the world around me. I can have a great time spending the day away shopping, doing activities yet still really enjoy time at home with a good book or movie. The only and most important thing missing in any of that is sharing it with a woman that is my best friend, equal partner and lover. The woman who is the first person I see each and every day and the one that I turn down the bed at night for her. The woman I put first and foremost in life and wouldn't have it any other way. The woman that takes my breath away seeing her dressed up to go out for drinks or dinner, as well as when wearing old sock and flannel pajamas. The woman that thinks I'm the biggest dork in the world and still chooses to spend the rest of her life with me. The woman that enjoys long, passionate kisses with me and holding hands as we go for a walk. The woman that knows and doesn't care that I'm not the tallest, best looking man in the room - but finds me attractive none the less. And the woman that enjoys reading my little notes left for here before I leave home for work.

I wear my heart on my sleeve and give everything to a committed relationship. I 'm honest, loyal and open (I know - I sound like a great dog! LOL!) I don't believe in being unfaithful, ever. I believe in doing things together but also having things different and apart. (A great line from the song by YES: "Don't surround yourself with yourself...") Have things in common but still be able to learn and grow with each other.

If any of the above resonates with you and falls in line with the person you are hoping to meet then don't be shy! Just write me back and we can see if we have more in common!

Thank you for reading and good luck in your search!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working, catching up on movies, reading and giving my life a new start.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making you feel comfortable and making you laugh!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My sincere smile and charm (I asked some friends since I had no idea!)

Books: I love to read, so I usually have at least two books I'm reading every week. I 'll read just about anything: history, biographies, science fiction/fantasy. Favorites include "The Name of the Wind" - Patrick Rothfuss, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" - Stieg Larsson, "Sick Puppy" - Carl Hiaasen, The Dresden books by Jim Butcher, the Change series by S. M. Stirling, Most Stephan King books, The Wheel of Time series by Robert R. Jordan, and anything by Glen Cook.

Movies: I have a wide taste of movies so it's hard to pin this one down! I've just sat here for a few minutes thinking how best to describe what I like and I believe it might be easier for you to ask me what I think about a movie! I've never been a person that can have a top ten favorite list because it can constantly change due to my lifes influences, and I just plain love to many movies! I can say that lately I have enjoyed Get Low, The Fighter, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Silver Linings Playbook ,The Avengers, Sex & Other Drugs, and Going the Distance. I just re-watched Flypaper today - Love the movie, makes me laugh every time! It's a comedy that you've probably never heard of, but if you don't find what you are looking for in me, I highly recommend that you search for this movie if you enjoy a fun laugh!

TV: This is a little easier as I like to do more than be locked down to the TV all the time so I like to limit the night I watch (sorry, no Tivo - I watch everything live!) Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, Chuck, Pushing Daisies, The Tudors, Nothern Exposure (all canceled series.) I like Ameican Pickers, Pawn Stars and Diners, Drive-In & Dives but don't watch them all of the time.

Music: Blues, Classic Rock, Some Older Country, world music - but no rap or classical. Like movies, music is hard to have a top favorite list! I have been listening to the following lately: Marc Broussard, Peter Gabriel, Neon Trees, Train, AC/DC, Blackmore's Night and Circa Paleo, Journey, Jimmy Buffett to name just a few. I'm really enjoying my last music purchase - American Authors - Oh What A Life! Love "Best Day Of My Life". Toad The Wet Sprocket, Elton John, Billy Joe and always Bob Seger! (If you grew up in Michigan you have to love Bob!) I recently bought and have been listening to Ingrid Michaelson "Lights Out", Christinsn Perri "Head or Heart", and Paramore's newest Cd. Really been enjoying "Love Runs Out" by OneRepublic!

Food: Ah! The staple of our life that can range from just grabbing a bite to eat or being one of the most memorable meals of your life with friends or that special someone! I love Mexican, Chinese, Italian, and American cuisine! I really don't care for Thai food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Someone to share life with - that includes that special someone, family and friends.
2. A good book to read
3. My music collection which goes into....
4. My Ipod
5. Movies
6. Tie between cable hookup and a strong phone signal!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
"If indecsion may or may not be my problem" LOL!
Not really, but it's a great line from a Jimmy Buffett song!

Why do clean sheets in the closet never smell as good as they should when you pull them out to put on your bed? (Same with clothes in your dresser?!)

whether or not I've written too much in my profile!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends on what time I get out of work. You'll generally find me at home relaxing from the week with a movie. Or doing laundry to get it out of the way for the weekend and realizing at 10pm that it seemed like a better idea when I started it, not waiting for it to end! LOL!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been on the site for around two years now and while I have met and gained some really wonderful friends, I never thought it would be this difficult to find someone that we both connected with on all levels.
