My self-summary
I'm 44, but my lovely friends tell me I look ten years younger (what would I do without them) and I feel even younger than that. Not that there's anything wrong with being fortysomething (hell, I'm here and there's nothing I can do about it!), but I've always believed that we should feel as young as possible and act as young as we can get away with. :-)

I'm 5'8", 132 lbs, slender build, fair of complexion, with well-coiffed short dark brown almost-black hair with a platinum blond streak, and bespectacled since the 2nd grade. Extremely prominent chin, helps offset the inevitable nerdiness caused by the aforementioned spectacles (well, only partially caused by them, I'll admit; I'm a nerd at heart). Non-smoker, non-drinker, and non-drugger, which ends up saving me a hell of a lot of money, eh? (By the by, light-to-moderate drinking on your end is perfectly fine, and occasional herb is ok although I can't indulge. Smoking may be negotiable.)

I have a well-paying steady day job with a good company, and I even love the people I work with! I work in a high-rise office building in downtown Seattle, and live in good old colorful West Seattle. My adorable twelve-year-old son visits me on alternating weekends.

I've got a sharp sense of humour, often self-deprecating, which helps to make sure I never get too full of myself. I'm a bit girly-femmy, but quite secure in my masculinity. I can dress conservative if the occasion requires it of course, but I often wear guyliner and snug clothes when clubbing, just to warn you.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently working for an insurance brokerage firm (I know, how EXCITING!!!) in downtown Seattle, living in West Seattle. My darling son stays with me every other weekend; otherwise, I have the castle to myself. I sing with a nationally renowned choral ensemble, and I also dabble in local theatre and voice acting. I try and go dancing at clubs at least once a week; it's my second favourite form of exercise. I'm also working on ramping up a side career as DJ, a couple gigs a month, just 'cause I love it and the extra $$ is nice. I also host monthly silent film screenings at my humble abode, and we do pretty well, usually getting about 8 to 15 people, which is just about right for the size of my flat!
I’m really good at
I'm quite good at singing, reasonably decent at acting (especially voice acting and doing accents), good on the club floor, and rather good at making out.

My big hair
My offbeat sense of humour
My propensity for lapsing into phony accents (it's the actor in me)

Girls
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what would happen to this country if it were once again in the grip of right-wing nutball politicians, and how our freedoms could be curtailed in the name of Jesus.

Also, how happy I am to be living, working and playing in Seattle, with a circle of lovely friends, comfortably away from the small logging town in which I grew up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Typical Friday nights depend on whether I have my son that weekend. So, I'll either be spending time with my son, or doing something fun with friends -- clubbing, movie, dinner, concert, theatre, etc.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Hmmmmm...you might have to ask me that in person, methinks.
