I think it is fair to say that Robert A. Heinlein is my favorite
author. I also appreciate Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman, Jim
Butcher, Stephen King, Italo Calvino and Jorge Luis Borges.
I love the Alien films - all of them. I'm also a big fan of Bring
It On and Stick It. I'm a fan of the Planet of the Apes films as
well. I thought Cabin in the Woods was brilliant as was Much Ado
About Nothing, but I love Joss Whedon so I am biased.
Firefly, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Dollhouse, Walking Dead,
Defiance, Continuum, Switched at Birth, and Orphan Black. My guilty
pleasure is Drop Dead Diva. Don't judge. Okay, judge if you want.
It's of no consequence.
I'm a little video game'd out at the moment, but I am looking
forward to Destiny, Super Mario 3D World, and any future
installments of Dead Space.
Balderdash, Time's Up and Cards Against Humanity are good, but
really nothing beats good old fashioned Pictionary/Charades. I also
just picked up a game called Zombicide that I'm looking forward to
Christopher Hall, the lead singer of The Dreaming and former lead
singer of Stabbing Westward, is my idol. I appreciate a range of
music including artists like Jenny Owen Youngs, The Pretty
Reckless, and Virtual Boy but nothing with ever come close to my
love for Christopher Hall.
Pretty much anything vegan. I try to buy only organic from the
grocery store. I was told once by my grandmother that she let her
children veto one food each and I thought that was brilliant. So I
have since vetoed raw tomatoes. Cooked are fine.
Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, La Cage aux Folles, and Book of
Mormon in that order.
I pretty much stick to the surrealists: Rene Magritte, Salvador
Dali, H.R. Giger, Max Ernst. If you have any other favorite
surrealists, I'm always interested in discovering more. I'm also
open to learning about other artists.
