My self-summary
Well, here it goes....

My friends call me Nick and I moved to Atlanta almost four years ago from the great state of Michigan. Though I miss being around so much fresh water, water sports and snow skiing, I thoroughly enjoy living in the city.

At least once a day at work I hear the phrase "Mr. Smith, you're weird." I teach middle school kids, so I think you have to be slightly demented to take on that role.

I'm a little on the sarcastic and goofy side, but I know when to be serious.
What I’m doing with my life
I teach Middle School Band. Be jealous because it's as much fun as you think it is.

Freelance audio work that involves restoration of people's bad recordings and any other sound engineering projects that I can get my hands on.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, networking, teaching, playing percussion instruments, making hummus, mixing drinks, and problem solving.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Anything by Chuck Klosterman
Teacher Man
The Count of Monte Cristo

Ghostbusters
Rainman
Waynes World
Moonrise Kingdom
Silence of the Lambs
Blazing Saddles
Spaceballs

Shows:
Breaking Bad
Dexter
Jeopardy
Raising Hope
Mad Men

Music:
I'm a classically trained musician and like too many things to list, so I'll just leave you with this example: In one week I went to see AWOL Nation/Imagine Dragons, Rob Zombie, and the Atlanta Symphony.

Food:
Ethiopian
Mexican
Italian
Sushi

Just about any variety of dark beer

4. My computer
5. Vintage Glassware
6. Delicious Food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What beer I'm going to drink next. Tomorrow, etc, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Nothing typical I guess. It just depends on who's around and what's going on.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I sometimes watch re-runs of Full House.
