My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been with my girlfriend for nearly a year now. We met on here and were friends for a few years before we finally got together. Don't lose hope, it is possible!

I'm not your average sized guy. I'm a little larger than what's considered normal. I love absolutely anything to do with science. I have for as long as I can remember. I also love music. I was in band from 6th grade through my time in college and had planned to make it my career before some stuff happened that kinda sorta stopped that. I can never decide if I like science or music better, though. I CAN decide that, even though I am quite good at it when I try, I detest math.

Typically for a gent of my age, I love sports. Football is my favorite, but I pretty much like them all except possibly cricket. I've never really watched it, but am not too intrigued by a game that could take 4 days to play.

At the moment, I'm in a Summer Fellowship and hoping it turns into a job at the end of the summer. Finished one political campaign last November and am keeping the career in politics going.

I used to go to church as a kid and stopped when we moved to a town with a bunch of mean people at the church there. I didn't like all the discontent that was there. I never really wanted to go to another denomination so I just stopped going and have been doing my own religious thing since. I've even come up with the places where God fits into science. I guess you could say I'm a scientist with a religious side in some ways.

Until recently, I hadn't had a job for the last few years, but it's not because of laziness or anything of the sort. I didn't rely on the government so that political talking point need not be thrust into any conversation. For the last 5 years I've been taking care of my mom and have basically put everything on hold to do it.

I like going out now and then, but never drink. I have no problems with other people drinking, but I've never been a fan of the sauce. At least it's easy to know who the designated driver is when I'm part of the group!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'd like to keep going in my current field. If all works out right, I might be able to do that. Can only work hard and hope, right?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm not bad at cooking and baking. I'm pretty good at musical stuff. I guess I'm a decent writer, too.
The first things people usually notice about me

Well, we see something different in the mirror when we look at ourselves. Other people see a whole different side of us. Our faces are not symmetrical for a reason. One side is logical (the somewhat uglier side) and one side is emotional (the somewhat prettier side). When we see ourselves in the mirror, we're looking at the logical side as our emotional side because the image is flipped. In others' eyes, there is no flipping of the image and they see our faces the way evolution has designed them to come across. So, the question is, what was the first thing YOU noticed about me? /nerdgasm

I love reading. I finished all 3 books in The Hunger Games series in about 6 days. Recently, I've read "Physics of the Future" by Dr. Michio Kaku and "Into the Storm" by Reed Timmer. Right now I'm working on "Space Chronicles" By Neil deGrasse Tyson. As you can see, I've definitely gotten more into non-fiction lately.

It would definitely be easier to tell you the one movie I don't like. I tried watching Stone with Robert DeNiro, but it was just too bad for me to get more than a half hour in. I've liked pretty much every other movie I've seen. As for the ones I do like, I really like anything that makes me think. The BBC series Sherlock is awesome. I'm also a big Star Trek nerd. I'm not huge into current TV. I'm 100% addicted to Doctor Who! I will say that the current doctor isn't bad, but David Tennant was just perfect for that role!

I'll listen to anything that's playing at the time. Well, almost anything. ...I'll at least give it a shot?

My favorite food is any kind of fresh fruit I can get my hands on.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Learning
2. Thunderstorms
3. Beach/Pool
4. Music
5. Good friends
6. Winter (I live in South's HOT!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What makes people believe the things they believe? Politics & religion and their continued interaction. What makes things tick? How did the universe come about (And don't throw "God did it" at me. I'll throw a rock at you.

A lot of my time is spent thinking about technology and what it will do to our lives in the future.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It depends on the Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've set a goal weight to hit by October 2014 and I'm on track.
