I was a philosophy/political science major with an english minor in college, so law school was the logical next step if I ever hoped to be employed anywhere other than Trader Joe's.

You can do a lot of great things with a JD, its not as stuffy as you might think it is.

Working now for an attorney doing criminal defense in Brooklyn, mostly homicides and gang assaults and all that good stuff. A lot of it is public interest work, making sure indigent people get a fair shake, so I hate it when people say how can you represent people charged with awful crimes, but thats a whole other discussion, buddy.

I really loved House of Leaves. I dig Pynchon and DeLilo. Also classics like Swift and Rabelais. Philosophy works as well - Epictetus' Encheridion is the closest thing I have to a religion and am a big fan of Neitzsche and Foucault. Camus' Myth of Sisyphus probably describes my outlook on life best.

Music, well I like everything, but I will try to substantiate that a bit because everyone says it but rarely means it. My favorite genre right now is probably anti folk or folk punk whatever you want to call it. Namely any group with Pat the Bunny (Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains, Wingnut Dishwasher's Union and Ramshackle Glory). Also classic rock like CCR etc. Love some Bill Withers Marvin Gaye, as well as more modern stuff, indie rock and Guided By Voices new album.
