I'm laidback, but focused and ambitious when it comes to something I like. I like coffee, cooking, and being in the mountains, either skiing or fishing. My past three years at Maryland I have been too focused on school, so this year I'm trying to branch out and meet new people. I want to explore DC more before I move away for grad school, so if you know DC well or want to explore with me, hit me up!

For some reason I've decided that I want to stay in school for the rest of my life, getting a PhD and eventually becoming a professor. But I like being my own boss and exploring my interests, so what other career is there for me?

Food: I'll try anything once, and like most of what I try. Also, microbrews.
Music: Pretty much anything, although indie and alt rock are my favorites:

Movies, shows: Any sci-fi, action, or thriller. Shows like Arrested Development, Better off Ted, and any of the big AMC shows. I've been watching a lot more indie movies on Netflix, some of them are pretty good.

Books: Reading is my way to unwind if I don't feel like watching a show or movie. I read anything from pulp novels to biographies of famous scientists, as long as it keeps me entertained.
