I am Scientific, creative, and passionate.

My Self-Summary

For my life I imitate art and hope someday that it will imitate me.
The great canvasses of our world are my study, the ones which painted and sculpted themselves for millions of years without us, the ones we all now take a little part in shaping.
I spend a lot of time outdoors, as close as the local beaches, as far away as the Eastern Sierra. As a human, I recognize our own urban habitat as its own ecosystem. When the day is done therefore I find nothing more delightful than sharing a delicious meal and conversations. I also enjoy movies, good books and live music. Consequently i am rarely bored. I find the most beautiful people are those who I know, and therefore seek to meet more people.
I come from a close knit family, that in some ways is getting closer even as each generation disperses further around the world, occasionally colliding with one another. I talk with immediate family several times a week. Additionally I have attracted quite a collection of friends from all periods of my life, from preschool to the present. They are diverse and all warm in their own way. Though I have been and can be a flamboyant individual / lone wolf at times, I've come full circle to realize that this old notion of Self-Actualization is more like living on Solaria and that true happiness is shared among many at the end of the journey.

What I’m doing with my life

Trying to map the water systems of the Antarctic and predict their behavior and how such behavior might influence sea level rise. In other words: how long until Coronado is Actually an island?
In fiction I've been trying to get through Isimov's Robot Empire and Foundation Universes. What's odd is how many parallels there are between Climate prediction and Psychohistory
Also I'm attempting to tidy up my physical space. This is new one, but its getting there and I have lots of support from people referred to in my self summary.
And of course I hope someday to pen the great American Novel.

I’m really good at

I can unite distant ideas into a beautiful synthesis with enough time. I seem to have natural talent for maps, spatial relationships, and a passion for hand work. Sort of know how to do a little of everything and/or fake it. People love my cooking, which revolves around, Curry, Stir fry, Sushi and Cappucino.
I've been making my own beer along with some wine and cider for the last two years and generated quite a fan base.
I'm unafraid of public speaking.
I am getting better at balancing tenacity and reason (see "what I'm doing with my life" for an explanation)

The first things people usually notice about me

My bright eyed smile, or my manner of speaking. I'm also taller than my photographs would have you think.

You want to join me in some of these photos.
You chase shooting stars and rainbows and break for sunsets.
You're comfortable and grounded in your own shoes.
You remember the "I kiss the cheese, you kiss the cheese" commercial.
The rest is future-history.
