I'm a history
freak, a huge Cleveland Browns fan, and a college student who's
been around and finally found some direction in his life. I'm
rather sarcastic at times, but I think I just use that to cover up
my constant, hopeless optimism. I love to travel but often lack the funds to go
anywhere spectacular, so I just try to make my meager trips as
spectacular as possible. I love movies, golf, art museums, and books. I’m a very level headed person, and
I try to keep things neat and tidy. Unfortunately, I’ve learned
that relationships are rarely neat or tidy.

What I'm doing with my life
I am currently a junior at Roanoke College and I freakin love it!
I’m a History major, I work part time as a mail man, and I
volunteer at a non-profit legal aid office. I’ve finally made up my
mind to go into law, and although I’m slightly terrified of the
required commitment and the substantial debt, I’m confident in that
decision. That’s really the direction things have been going in the
past few years; I guess I’m just willing to own it now.
I'm really good at
Planning, Proofreading, Prioritizing, Persuading, Perceiving, and
Presenting. OK, so I have an unhealthy love of alliteration, but
it’s all true.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Rather than favorite books, I'll go most recent: Stephen Colbert's
I am America (and So Can You!), Bill Clinton's Giving, John
Grisham's The King of Torts, Barack Obama's The Audacity of Hope,
Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray, and Jeanette Walls' The
Glass Castle.
Favorite movies: Toys, Big Fish, American Beauty, Rocky, The Godfather Series, V for Vendetta, Platoon, The Rock, This is Spinal Tap, Braveheart, Death to Smoochy, Donnie Darko, Amelie
Music: I love the rock/pop music of the 60's-90's. Stuff like The Beatles, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, No Doubt, Heart, The Crue, and Tom Petty, but I also like some newer stuff from Fallout Boy, The Foo Fighters, and Bowling for Soup.

The six things I could never do without
A car that runs, A TV to watch the Browns every Sunday in the fall,
my computer, my family, A good book, and the feeling that I am

On a typical Friday night I am
I work on Saturday mornings, so usually reading a book or sleeping
soundly, but on occasion I will go to the movies or see a show at
Blackfriar's.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
I'm such a geek I recently took apart my laptop, put it back
together, and it still works!
