Hi, I'm interested in finding someone with some of the same interests I have, to spend time with first and possibly to develop a permanent relationship with later. I'm 69 years old and widowed. Currently working at a part-time job, but love to travel. Love mountains and oceans, deserts, lakes and rivers. I'm a nurse, with two degrees in Psychology. I have raised four children and was married to a farmer. I still live in the country.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently working at a part-time job as a visiting nurse. Also have some rental property that I work with. I have a small travel trailer, and love to travel with it but right now have nothing to pull it with so am taking a break from that activity. I enjoy my children and grandchildren. I swim every day in warm weather.

Some of the things I'm good at you would just have to find out for yourself. I think that's part of getting to know another person.

I really couldn't say what people notice first about me, but I hope it is my smile.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Favorite things...I like to read historical fiction...stories for instance about ancient peoples. I like movies with strong romantic themes, like Pride and Predjudice, When Harry Met Sally, Pretty Woman, etc. For movies. I like soft rock and some western, and other popular music. I don't like rap or hip-hop. I like most types of food, but lean heavily toward Mexican. I eat a lot of seafood. I try to eat very healthy food and therefore try to stick to things I prepare at home (like to cook), but I do eat out at times.

The six things I could never do without

I don't think there are things I could never do without. You learn as time passes that you can do without a lot of things you thought you had to have. My priorities would be: Love, Family, Nature, Health, Respect, and enough of whatever it takes to be comfortable.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I think this is hard to answer. I follow politics, especially this year. My interests are broad. I am a Christian who feels closer to God when in a forest than in a church. I know that I can't solve all the problems of the world, but I am here for a purpose and I hope that I can leave the world a better place.

On a typical Friday night I am at home, watching television or on the computer.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm a private person. I don't smoke, I seldom drink. Although not a teetotler. I'm not well-organized. I wouldn't do well with a perfectionist for a friend or mate. I guess that's about it.
