I'm a friendly person who cares for people and am always trying to make people laugh...but not in a "class clown" sort of way. I have a dry and sometimes sarcastic sense of humor that I can pretty much tie into anything. I am usually smiling and try to be nice to everyone. I have a very active mind and imagination and spend a lot of time processing and analyzing everything around me. I'm also very easy-going and can get along with nearly everyone (trait of a Gemini)! :) If you've seen the show Big Bang Theory that is nearly biographical of my life! I have an in-depth background in science but was a very nerdy 20-something, down to the love of comic books, computer games, and role playing (ie, Dungeons & Dragons). Fortunately, I don't have the physical build of the BBT nerds and stay pretty active with volleyball, snow and water-skiing, and my latest crazy idea is to get involved in some 5K runs or triathlons this spring. But don't take that the wrong way, I'm not an excercise nut and am equally happy staying home and cuddling up to watch movies late into the night!

I've had an interesting career path merging my caretaker side (Paramedic) with my nerdy analytical side so that I now work as a Systems Analyst maintaining physician charting & ordering applications for a national health system.
I try to stay active by playing volleyball twice a week in a competitive league (coed 4's) and am pretty good at keeping up with the 20-somethings! I like to hit the slopes a few times each season but my favorite activity is water skiing in the summer and spend many weekends at the lake.

Wow, what a loaded question! Hmmm...how do I -not- come off like an egotistical maniac yet still sound interesting??
I'm good at being nice and caring for people and animals, especially when they are being overlooked by others (ie, homeless or injured animals found wandering)...hmmm, do nice guys finish last? I also have a tiny superhero complex from reading comic books and studying martial arts and will stand up to bullies, a**holes, and inconsiderate or pushy people (like speaking up for the Wal-Mart cashier when being yelled out by an irrate customer for no good reason or calling out thugs blasting their car speakers and making everyone's windows shake!).

I'm big and tall and look like a football lineman...this can somtimes intimedate people but I'm usually smiling, easy-going, and treat everyone kindly so it's rare people are not comfortable with me.

~Books: I like a variety of genres but I most often find myself reading non-fiction titles. On my nightstand this month is a book about true-life UFO abductions, recent issues of PC World, and a non-fiction book about demons (the paranormal, "posessing" kind).

~TV shows: Dexter, True Blood, Elementary, Walking Dead, Archer, Ghost Adventures, Paranormal Witness, Tosh.0, South Park, Arrow, A Haunting. I will also watch an episode here and there of reality TV (Survivor, Idol, Amazing Race) but not really a full season.

~Movies: I like nearly all types, but my favorites are horror movies, by far! Followed closely by sci-fi and action movies.

~Music: I'm a Pop/Classic rock fan but also listen to Classical, New Age, & Jazz when the mood hits me. Some things on my play list: Nickelback, Def Leppard, ELO, Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, Genesis, Alan Parsons, Rick Springfield, ABBA, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Bob Seger, Bruno Mars, Roxette, Evanescence, FUN, plus many more 80's bands!

~Food: I'm reserved and haven't much outgrown my childhood fondness for "American" food: pizza, hamburgers, steak & potatoes, and the like. Mexican food is a close second!

~My Computer. ~The internet. ~Chocolate. ~A sense of humor. ~Volleyball. ~Movies.

I'm a hot-blooded male, so the top thought in all guys minds is pretty well documented. :P Following that, I really do analyze everything in my mind and jump topics a lot. My children occupy a lot of my thoughts as well as ways to release my creativity (art, computer design, projects, etc). I've also spent the last few years poring through information about paranormal phenomenon and would really like to begin investigating with a team. I want to meet and communicate with a ghost at some point in my life!

Watching or going to movies, hanging out with my kids, or sitting at the computer reading, surfing, playing games, or answering questions on OKCupid, anyone else find these questions a bit addicting? Just one more...just one more.... ;)

I'm not actively religious but I am very spiritual and God and I have an understanding. :)
