So I was thinking about how members of the "Christian right" look condescendingly down on liberal Christians like myself...
Hey narrow-minded puritans, the Jesus Christ I follow was quite the liberal activist... he challenged the corrupt establishment of his time... he reached out to the poor, the downtrodden, the oppressed of society, the prostitutes, lepers; everyone who had the least- society's pariah's, he reached out to. So how in their "right" minds can fundamentalists reject the social gospel? How can they look with scorn upon what they dub "secular humanism" when Jesus Christ himself was a social activist? They are such damn hypocrites... Jesus was a revolutionary, a teacher, a prophet; he loved unconditionally, in other words, JC friggin' rocks! I'm so sick of these puritanical, sexist, gay-bashing, sanctimonious "fundies" of the Christian right giving Him and his true followers a bad name. Stop judging and condemning everyone to the lake of fire and brimstone and start loving and accepting as Jesus taught and lived.
