My self-summary Propose an edit

Some simple pleasures I enjoy:
-Coffee heath bar ice cream
-Singing loudly and off key in the shower and in the car
-Random road trips to small towns or cities
-Blasting my stereo and dancing around my apartment, sometimes deaning at the same time
-Trying a random recipe and getting friends to try it
-Late night swims
-Touching fresh tattoos (weird, I know)
-Doing the Cupid Shuffle every hour at the local bar because the DJ continues to play it over and over and over...
-Getting to know random people while out and about
-Wine bars and wine tasting
-Attending local film and art festivals
-Live music, especially Indie artists and local bands. I listen to just about anything. You may be surprised at what all I listen to.
-Reality TV
-Dabbling in photography of random things
-Knitting. Yeah, knitting. Just learned and so far I've mastered the art of making scarves. Yes, I have quite a few scarves now...well more than necessary, but hey, at least I'm doing something creative! :o)
-Making others laugh hysterically

I think most people that know me well would probably describe me as laid back and down-to-earth. I love to have a good time and I love to laugh, so I'm definitely looking for someone who has a great sense of humor, is not scared of being a goof ball, and can make me laugh. But, at the same time, I want someone who is mature enough to know when to be serious.

I am definitely not a bar fly, so I don't necessarily have to go out all the time to a bar or dance club or have to have a drink to have a good time. While I enjoy a good beer every now and then, staying home and relaxing with good friends, whether at my place or at theirs, is just as fine with me. I love cooking for other people, having dinner parties, and having friends over to watch movies or over just to hang out.

I consider myself to be a very open-minded person when it comes to meeting new friends and dating in areas such as culture, background, etc. So, I am looking for friends and maybe more who are open-minded as well. So, if you have a problem with the color of my skin, which happened to me recently (seriously?!), then I'm not the friend or girl for you.

Music: Country, Indie, Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Pop, Soul, etc. Purses/bags. Movies: action and comedy. Dancing. CNN. Art. Photography. Sports: football, soccer, and baseball. Books read in the past year: Memoirs of Geisha, It, Cold Mountain, Anna Karenina, Velocity, Lord of the Rings...

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

My family (some of my biggest supporters), my group of friends (who have become like family), my 2 dogs (Jersey and Kody), Court TV, King of the Hill (why I love this show, I'll never know. lol), and music (all kinds).

What I want to do for the rest of my life, now that I'm done with school. I spend a lot of time thinking about world events (first degree in political science). Spend a lot of time thinking about whether or not my sport teams are going to ever have a winning season again...

Is that I've been let down a lot in life, so I tend to keep my walls up without knowing that that's what I'm doing. But, with patience, those walls come down and I'm a good person to know.
