Fair warning, I am a bit of a movie fanatic, but the upside of that is I'm always looking for interesting new films to check out. If you have favorites to recommend, I'd love to hear them!
I'm also basically a Tetris GOD
I kind of have a sneaking suspicion that I tend to make bad/weird first impressions on people that become my best friends later on, so don't write me off right away!
A few books I've read this past year and really liked are Room by Emma Donoghue, The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley, and Laura by Vera Caspary.
Movies: So many. So, so many. Ask me what more of them are, but I'll list my top ten here for now: Toy Story, There Will Be Blood, Barry Lyndon, Bonnie and Clyde, The Thin Blue Line, Star Wars, The Man Who Wasn't There, Koyaanisqatsi, Django Unchained, 12 Angry Men.
In general, just about any film by Pixar, the Coen Brothers, Tarantino, David Fincher, Chris Nolan, Stanley Kubrick, Paul Thomas Anderson, or Wes Anderson would be something I'll probably like.
Shows: Lost, Adventure Time, The Simpsons, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (and now Rebels), Orange is the New Black, Breaking Bad, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Archer, Bob's Burgers, Animaniacs, MST3K, the first three seasons of Spongebob, and Ed, Edd n Eddy.
Music: My music section was a mess, so I've stripped it down for now. Rest assured that anything touched by Jack White, Leonard Cohen, or Joshua Homme is something I'm sure to love.
Food: Pasta. Really all sorts of Italian food.
My friends and family. (not really a "thing," but...)
Also, how few limited-release/arthouse movie theaters are around me, and how sad that makes me.
Don't be shy about making the first move- as a more reserved person I would absolutely appreciate it.
*NOTE* For any Boston-area girls who like my profile but are put off by the distance: I can actually take the bus in to Boston quite easily, and I enjoy visiting the city, so don't worry about that!
