My Self-Summary
I'm a 23 year old looking for my route in life. I have my BA and
working on my MA, but decided to take some time off and think about
what I want out of life. I was raised in NJ on the shore, but have
also lived in PA, FL, and a few months in Kenya. Recently, I picked
up my life again and moved for the tenth time in three years from
FL to CA. I'm loving CA and have decided to make a go of living out
here for a while.
What I’m doing with my life
Recently I've recently decided to put my MA aside and get my EMT
certification and become an EMT and possibly a paramedic in the
future. I feel I want to do something worth while and important
with my life, and I think this is my path.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at outdoor activities, such as
camping and
archery. I also really love photography and try to get out with
my camera as often as possible.
The first things people usually notice about me
Most people when they see me think I'm younger than I am, that and
I'm a 'good girl next door'. Well, until they see that I can have
an attitude and have a bunch of tattoos, including my newly finished
back piece. After that, they notice that I'm an easy person to get
along with.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Music wise, I mostly listen to rock, classic rock being my favorite,
which is odd, since most of the music I like was recorded before I
was born. Anyway, movies, I like just about anything, except chick
flicks with predictable plot lines. As for books, I love to read. I
really don't watch TV, so I read in my spare time. I tend to read
just about anything from sappy romance novels, to sci fi, to
horror, to non fiction.
The six things I could never do without
Books, Music, Beach,
Conversation, Friends, and my cell phone.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future. I worry all the time about it, since I get hounded by
my parents, so its constantly on my mind, even though I totally
believe in living in the here and now. I just want to enjoy life
and make the most of it at all times. However, I think about a
future career, stability since I have moved 10 times in three
years, and possibly having a family of my own one day.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually working, I wish I had time to go out, but mostly I work.
When I do get a rare night off, I like to go out, usually to a bar
or club with a friend or two, get a drink, some food, and play some
pool, maybe dance. Some other times, I like to just stay in, read a
book or watch a movie, and make a good dinner.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
My mom and dad have been married for 26 years and I desperately
want to have that when I get older. My little sister is one of the
most interesting people I know; her daily drama can keep me
entertained for weeks. My friends mean the world to me, especially
since my family is over 3000 miles away.
