My self-summary
I am someone who has a job they love, an amazing family, great friends, and a ridiculously strong sense of who I am and what I want. The only thing missing is a partner to share it all with.

rundown:
- I tend to go to a lot of concerts. Namely at Thee Parkside, Bottom of the Hill, or Slim's in SF. Blank Club in SJ. The Catalyst in Santa Cruz.
- Always love hiking
- Want to travel as often as possible. Next destinations hopefully involve either western South America or Scandinavia/Russia.
- Love the Giants, Sharks, 49ers, Oregon Ducks, and Syracuse Orange.
- I find "How it's Made" to be one of the most calming and intriguing shows on TV. It's like mental yoga.
- I have switched almost exclusively to e-books. The fact that it is much cheaper plays a large part in this decision. All things being equal, I would much rather read from a real book.
- I have a solid vinyl collection. About 90 records ranging from Bruce Springsteen to Alice Cooper, from Boston to NOFX.
- The Onion, Grantland, Taibblog, BoingBoing, Politifact, Longform, Slate, McSweeney's
What I’m doing with my life
I teach US and World History at a high school in San Jose. My philosophy to pretty much anything in history is being able to ask yourself, "Is it worth it?" That question alone tends to get me far in class discussions.
I’m really good at
Random trivia; telling funny stories; making people think
The first things people usually notice about me
My existence slash I have no idea. If it's based on sight, perhaps my jeans. If it's based on actual interaction, it would be my humor.

The six things I could never do without
music with guitars, avocado, laughter, mountains, feedly, teaching
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What am I doing in class tomorrow?
On a typical Friday night I am
Either watching a game with friends, having a few drinks, going up to the City, Tahoe, or Santa Cruz.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Wicked is an amazing musical. Dammit... now the world knows

I'm not that big on The Wire

  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You are looking for someone who can make you laugh and think; someone who can help you out when you can't think of the band name or year in which something occurred; someone who challenges, yet respects, you and wants to be challenged.
