My Self-Summary
I love Port Townsend. It's exactly the kind of small town I'd like to end up in. Small independent, fair trade coffee shops. A record shop where I can rummage through old vinyl for hours. An old pub with a view of the Sound, amazing seafood and my favorite beer. I can walk or bike everywhere and I'm just a short, scenic drive and a ferry ride to Seattle and my family.
I am obsessed with music; music history, music engineering, music listening. I have degrees in both music history and music engineering and would like to think that, by now, I have the equivalent to what would be a doctorate in listening to music. Not that I'm an expert or anything...I just really love it. I have a pretty big record collection. Most of it is from my father's collection he had when he was a teenager and a few from when my grandma was young, but I've spent a small fortune on anything and everything that catches my eye.
I've played soccer pretty seriously since I was able to walk. I love hiking, camping, and kayaking...pretty much anything that has to do with being outside. I practice yoga almost everyday and try to meditate as long as the chatter will let me.
I love the smell of pears and basil and I love the fact that there is a word for the way it smells after it rains (Petrichor)...but what Seattlite wouldn't love that word?
For the most part I try not to take myself or life too seriously.
