My Notes edit
My self-summary
I am both an intellectual geek and a gamer geek. But I am one of the coolest, most down to earth geeks you will ever know.
One of my friends labeled me as "the all-seeing, all-saying, all-see-saying soothsayer" when I was a teenager. I have continued that path to enlightenment even to today.
I am generous by nature, sometimes to a fault. I am always willing to lend an ear or hand and it often causes me to neglect my significant others, but
my children always come first.
I have a young daughter. I love to watch her discover the world, and try to see the world as shiny and new as she does, while maintaining enough jadedness not to allow her or myself to be taken advantage of.
I lost my infant son who is pictured with me. He died June 30th, 2007. His name was Ronin, and he was 3 months and nine days old when he died of S.I.D.S. I greatly enjoyed the time I had with him although it was tragically short. I miss him more than I can ever find words for. He is in my pics because he was alive when I opened my account, and I will only add more recent pictures to view until I can give him his own Memorial website. Only then will I feel it appropriate to change those pictures. I hope everyone can understand.
I had my second baby girl on Sept. 16th. I am a complete nervous wreck now that she is approaching the same age as my son was when he died. But I am trying desperately not to be too overprotective. She is also beautiful. And she is growing like a weed.
What I'm doing with my life
We are trying to make our quality of life a little better than it has been the last few years.
I finally have a car of my own, and we just moved into our first apartment in several years. And we just had a new baby girl. And yes, I AM working too. So time is precious little for updating profiles. Her older sister is thrilled.
I'm really good at
I love writing poetry, and, apparently, I am halfway decent at that, as I have been published a couple of times.
My friends and my husband-to-be say that I am really good at being a mom, but we will have to ask my older daughter her opinion in about 21 years and my younger daughter in about 25-26.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
Most people say my eyes, but come on...how cheesy is that.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality Series, The Dragon Lance Series, and The Celestine Prophecy
Movies: The Crow, The Labyrinth, and The Prophecy series
Music: VNV Nation, Covenant, Starsplash, Heart, Pat Benatar, Laurenna McKennit, Mozart...Let's just say that's the tip of the Ice burg of a very eclectic array of musical taste.
Food: Yes, please. Except for Thai food, Greek Feta, and any kind of fish. Yech. But I do love shrimp, lobster and crab.
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Seeking the path to enlightenment.
Taking care of my friends, and family.
Trying to make ends meet.
All in that order usually.
On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
