My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm kind of a nerd that also likes doing things outside. I like cycling, hiking, and chasing butterflies (I'm an entomologist!). I also enjoy games of almost any sort. Video games, board games, tabletop gaming and sports...but I'd always rather play than watch. Since I just relocated here for work, I don't have anyone to play with yet, but I'm trying to remedy that.
I am vegan but I'm not militant about it. Other people can do what they want. I don't want people pushing their beliefs in my face and I won't do that to other people. My sense of humor is pretty dry (and sometimes sarcastic) and my best friends are the same way.
I enjoy going out for great food or going somewhere new with friends, but I also enjoy a night at home with a good book or a movie so bad it's good.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just relocated to Jupiter for work. I'm working hard to make agriculture safer and more sustainable. In my spare time I'm exploring, reading, riding my bike, and trying to meet people.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
catching and photographing insects, taking things apart, strategy games (board or otherwise), throwing a frisbee, making faces at children while their parents aren't looking, and science.

I love reading. Mostly I read nature/science non-fiction, science fiction, and fantasy. My favorite author so far is Nabokov. He has such a way with words... Message me if you have any recommendations!

I like all kinds of movies, though I pretty much seem to only watch movies on the polar ends of the "goodness" spectrum. My favorite actually good movies are The Last Unicorn, Amelie, Brazil, Groundhog Day, Life Aquatic, Ghost in the Shell, Requiem for a Dream, 12 Monkeys, The Professional...better stop there. My favorite terrible movies are Batman Returns, Ghostbusters, and most movies with vampires, werewolves, zombies and combinations thereof (Underworld for example, but not Twilight. Those are NOT vampires). Also, MST3K! How could I have forgotten! It's probably those damnable robots that got me liking horrible films in the first place. Message me with your favorite atrocities...only cinematic ones please :/

Here are my favorite artists: Smashing Pumpkins, VNV Nation, KMFDM, The Magnetic Fields, The Eels, Iris, HORSE, Radiohead, The Protomen, Muse, The Mars Volta, Wolfsheim, NiN, Tom Waits, Fischerspooner, Red Sparowes.

My food choices are a little limited when I go out, but I have hundreds of vegan recipes and I'm a pretty good cook. My favorite foods are Asian, especially Thai. I also really like Japanese and Indian food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My Friends, the family I chose
2. Games
3. Reading/books
4. Ideas
5. Music
6. A computer! That's how I access the other 5, especially now that I'm in a new place.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My job...How can I make agriculture safer and more sustainable? How can I be a better, stronger person than the day before? The perceived conflict between science and religion and how to resolve it. Seriously, stop fighting you guys! You can have both!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm not sure! I just moved to a new town so I don't really have a routine yet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I admit nothing!

You are an intelligent, rational, and literate human being with no babies. Sorry dudes and ladies, but babies have a tendency to cut the D&D sessions short. Exceptions can be made for the truly awesome, I guess.
