full of memories, some sad, some sweet.
What brings us online here together,
is the sense that we don’t know defeat.
There’s a match for all of us somewhere.
Our life paths just haven’t yet crossed.
Surfing profiles can lead to frustration,
can’t surrender because of exhaust.
The search for my soul mate seems endless.
I know that my quest will reveal,
the time that I’ve spent on this effort,
will yield to me happiness unreal.
Please allow me to introduce myself.
That line from the Stones seems well-timed.
Wooing ladies; not one of my fortes,
But the search for love has me now-primed.
Separated for more than three years,
have regained the old me through healing.
The divorce became final last year,
I’m ready. New love has no ceiling.
No kids of my own. What a bummer!
I raised step-kids through their teen years.
Next title for me might be Granddad.
Sounds awesome … Can’t wait … I say Cheers.
No need to rush into this quickly,
my goal is long-term, not a dash.
Too many get serious too quickly,
and their love lives end up in the trash.
Engineer.I.am. It’s fulfilling.
How things work always interested me.
Volunteer my time and taught college.
Giving back to the world is the key.
I’m prob’ly the tallest person you’ll know.
6’ 8” – gotta duck through the door.
Staircases allow for good hugging.
After while, my height you’ll ignore.
I’ve a constant quest for more knowledge.
Learning new things was always quite fun.
Museums and Nat. Parks I visited.
Once you’ve learned it, it can’t be undone.
Raised Catholic, but never really “got it”.
Golden Rule taught me right versus wrong.
A gentlemanly streak that runs through me,
is what’s made me a good guy lifelong.
Always been happy, a smile on my face,
That glass is more than half-full.
And Loyalty is paramount.
A player, I’m NOT, that’s no bull.
Level-headed is how they’d describe me,
Dry humor is part of me too.
Dependable -- Responsible.
Hope the brownie points will accrue.
Let us go dine or take in a show.
I don’t really care for the bar scene.
A home-cooked meal – I’ll be the chef.
Packed room: I feel like a sardine.
Chivalry’s dead, some like to say,
a point that I strongly oppose.
I’ll hold that door and help with your chair,
And surprise with the occasional rose.
Great food is one of my pleasures.
I love new textures and tastes.
Wine Pairings are something I search out.
New cafés I go to post haste.
B&B’s are great weekend getaways.
Massages put me into a trance.
Travel the world, both far and so near.
How great to maintain the romance.
Believable characters in movies,
are something with which I connect.
Shoot-em-ups and Sci-Fi’s are OK,
but chick-flicks I’d rather select.
Music, it peaked in my teen years,
From Oldies to Jazz and to Pop.
The Beatles and Stones; my all-time faves.
Can’t listen to Rap. Make it Stop.
The four T’s work well as a mantra,
they’re Togetherness, Truth, Talk and Touch.
With these on our side from the get-go,
No need for changing us much.
Like most guys, I like local sports teams.
Hooray for the Purple and Orange Birds.
I root for the Caps, don’t care ‘bout the Wiz.
Devotion’s split even in thirds.
Don’t care for the Donkey or Elephant,
Quick fixes - they seem to elude us.
Libertarian is sounding better each day.
Both parties have differently screwed us.
Haven’t climbed the world’s tallest mountain.
Haven’t swum ‘cross the world’s largest sea.
These extremes may satisfy some folks,
Truth be told, that’s not really me.
I’ve no need for crazy or drama.
“No Thanks” to today’s manly toys.
I’d rather collect new experiences,
Simple pleasures are most of my joys.
My lady, she needs to be real smart,
with knowledge or college degrees.
When flustered, I’ll ask her “What’s troubling?”,
She’ll say more than “nothing”, Oh Please!
I like to get into discussions.
To know each other, let’s chatter.
From Philosophy to World Events,
To agree or not, it won’t matter.
This profile got long in a hurry,
Cheesy rhymes of what I’m about.
I’m nothing, if not very thorough,
And don’t take the easy way out.
Been told that I’m a good listener,
You know me, so now it’s your turn.
Strong patience is one of my virtues,
After this, my ear you doth earn.
So ladies, how do you see me?
When meeting, I shan’t speak in verse.
‘cause I need to learn of the true you.
More stanzas might make you adverse.
Well if I have tickled your fancy,
don’t hesitate to give me a shout.
‘cause true love is out there, I KNOW IT.
Isn’t that what this website’s about?
Many profiles, they come from the same mold,
Yeah for beach walks and dinner and fun.
Is unique a good word to describe me?
I hope that you’ll say, “He’s the one”.
