My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm tall, smart and funny. (only one of these things is true, and no one laughs at my jokes so.....). However, If at some point while reading about me, you do a "breath laugh" which is like the literal version of a "LOL" then you should definitely message me because there's a whole lot more where that came from.

I'm self employed, father of one, very liberal views on social issues. I try to be pragmatic & find common ground with people.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
thinking about sustainability for my community. Income & experience diversification for family. Start ups. Improving educational outcomes for socio economically disadvantaged children. Sometimes waiting on the copy machine. Being nice to customer service people. Tipping well. Running. Gardening.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
the interwebz, and I'm half asian so I can probably fix your computer or figure out why your twitter feed isn't coming through on your refrigerator.

^I say this sarcastically, but really, I'm good with google search and DIY videos. I can fix things.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I read articles on wsj, the editorials on nytimes...listen to a few fiction audiobooks, really love the self-help aisles. I pay lots of overdue fees to the library :/

TV and movies are fun for me but I don't watch a lot of either. I usually try to catch an episode of the Daily Show once a week.

I'm moderately adventurous with food - I can be convinced pretty easily to try most things, so I definitely get along with foodies, but I couldn't call myself one.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
So a lot of people take the "six things I really enjoy" approach to this question, and I'm divided on whether to do that or just list water, air, etc, so I'm going to list six quotes I like instead.

Five years from now, you’ll be the same person you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.” –Charlie “Tremendous” Jones

"Be patient towards all that is unanswered in your heart and learn to love the questions themselves."

"I should never have switched from scotch to martinis." - humprhey bogart's last words.

“It's a lazy Saturday afternoon, there's a couple lying naked in bed reading Encyclopediea Brittannica to each other, and arguing about whether the Andromeda Galaxy is more 'numinous' than the Ressurection. Do they know how to have a good time, or don't they?” ― Carl Sagan

“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.”

“Whenever you're in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging your relationship and deepening it. That factor is attitude.”
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The scale of the universe, how gerrymandering is messing with US politics, random things I read on wikipedia or reddit, whether I think it's better to raise my son in a smaller city like SB or somewhere more densely populated, that I should delete my FB, that I tried that before and it didn't work, and often times, trying to remember that one thing that I was supposed to do.

That I should go to bed earlier so I can get up and do something like yoga or run, or something that a better version of me would do. :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
not getting to bed earlier so I can get up and do something like yoga or run...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can spread my pinky toes out really far. I consider it some type of evolutionary advantage.
