My Notes edit

My self-summary

(I hate these things - I come off sounding like a prick)

Hi.... is this thing on?

I am a diverse combination of an American who grew up in Israel (quotes Gashashim with an accent). I am an optimist yet cynical, creative yet both feet are soundly on the ground. I can set a table correctly, tie a bow-tie, chose the right wine while at the same time I know how to “shapchtel” a wall, eat luf (kosher Spam) from a can using the lid and make real “asli” Turkish Coffee.

I admit that I do not suffer fools, but am willing to listen to any well thought out idea. I hate oppression, narrow-mindedness and irresponsibility.

I admit to being a bon-vivant, a "foodie", an anglophile and I have a wicked sense of humor. I have eclectic tastes, politics are important to me as is history.

There is always something interesting going on in my life – perhaps you would join me on the road (or perhaps off-roading) to wherever I seem to be going?

What I'm doing with my life

Oh... well... living it to the fullest, I hope.

I'm really good at

Planning my next trip abroad and telling jokes, among other things.
Life is never boring when I am around.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: I adore Nicholas Monserrat, Steven Fry, Fredrick Forsythe, alternative history, military history and so much more. Just read "dispatches" about the Vietnam War - strange but interesting and thought provoking.

Movies: Gosford Park, Chariots of Fire and great British TV series like the Jewel in the Crown and I Claudius.

Music: New Wave 80's (Tears for Fears, Ultravox), Gilbert and Sullivan, Classical Baroque (Bach, Handel, Vivaldi), Israeli - an eclectic taste, I know.

The six things I could never do without

Beauty, love, inspiration, facination and humor. I don't think I could do without a functional body.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Many things, especially those which give me pleasure.
My latest plan is to get a tattoo on my back of 10 vertical and 10 horizontal lines, creating a grid. Then I could tell you to scratch in box D5. :)

On a typical Friday night I am

Doing the same thing we do every other night Pinky, trying to take over the world.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

I once wanted to become an atheist, but I gave up—they have no holidays. And whose name would I shout out during sex?

You should message me if

You find me...interesting.

Warning - at this stage in my life I have gained alot of weight, so if you don't believe you can see beyond this, please be forewarned.
