I have officially lived and worked in the city of San Francisco (Nob Hill area) for a year now. Looking back on the whirlwind year of 2013, I spent an awful amount of energy getting settled in to the city, my work and the proverbial lay of the land. I have lived in Manhattan, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix and I must say that San Francisco is really the best of all of those places. I honestly didn't think it was possible to live in an apartment smaller than the one I lived in the West Village but San Francisco, you win! But, I live alone and it's a cool and cozy place. Ahem, very cozy!
My goal for 2014 is to really restore my work/life balance. I am resolute to pay better attention to relationships, personal health/growth and to actually get out there and celebrate some of the amazing things this city offers. I'm a self made guy who is ambitious and motivated in most aspects of his life. I feel that after living in three different cities in five years that it's time to put down some roots, find a person who is looking for me as much as I am looking for her and experience some great things together.
Most of all, I have an open heart that is free of the past and looking forward in an optimistic manor towards the future.
In full disclosure, I am an empty nester. It's hard to believe that I have a 27 and 24 year old. They live on the East Coast. The age listed in the profile is correct. I was a young parent. I think kids are awesome and don't mind of you have them as long as there is a piece of your life and time you can genuinely share. I can't and do not wish to produce any more children of my own anymore. I truly believe I am a much more open and selfless person as a result of my experience as a parent.
