My Self-Summary
I am 39, divorced, no kid. I have lived many places, in the USA and abroad. I like kids, and I enjoy laughing. I try to see the humor in most situations and sometimes I start laughing for what appears to be no reason but its just because of whatever situation is playing out.
When I was in the Army my boss and I would play a game for beer during the day, basically you had to work the craziest line from a movie into daily conversation. If you win then the loser has to buy a beer... He had the last win with "I find your lack of faith disturbing" (Darth Vader, Star Wars) Oh yeah, thats the other part of the game, you couldn't just know the quote you had to know the character and the movie as well. So, sometimes I use movie quotes in daily conversation. If you want to impress me, catch the quote ...LOL I never claimed to be cool... just sayin.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m really good at
Developing solutions and identifying a path forward when things seem impossible. I keep my cool when other people are imploding, but as the downside of that sometimes it takes me awhile to make a decision.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books, I am reading Dark Mission by Richard C Hoagland, but for this time of my life I dont have too much liesure reading time.(Sword of Truth Series, Wheel of Time Series, The Dark Tower series, kids books: This Time of Darkness by HM Hoover, A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle)
The six things I could never do without
2) Music Folder on my PC
3) Programming reference books (try to remember all that madness and you will know why thats here)
4) Assorted games on the computer, laugh if you want but they are far more engaging than TV. (Check out Halflife 2 if you want to play a game with a great story and excellent character development, or Neverwinter Nights 2... easily one of the most involved single player Roleplaying games I have ever played on a PC)
5) Money. No, money doesn't buy happiness, but it makes a lot of bad problems into good problems.
6) Good times. Aint we lucky we got em...
