My self-summary
I'm not very good at writing about myself, I prefer to let people meet me and let my actions and general personality do that for me. I'm very quick to introduce myself and to start talking to people, it usually isn't a problem for me to find some sort of conversation thread when I meet someone for the first time. I have a rather quirky sense of humor, I would define it as a cross between The Marx Brothers, Caddyshack and any Judd Apatow film.

I love languages, due to my travels and studies I'm fairly conversational in French and German, I was good in Spanish in high school but I've lost most of it, also I know a handful of phrases in Gaelic.

I am a huge sports fan, I've had season tickets for the Saints since 2004, and yes...I cried when we won the Superbowl. I also am a fan of LSU, the Hornets, the Texas Rangers and FC Bayern Munchen in the Bundesliga of German soccer.

Lastly, I'm also an avid Geocasher. In a nutshell I get a handheld GPS and go around the city and find little caches that have been hidden by other geocashers, it's a great way to get out and see the city and take advantage of good weather days when we have them.

I know the above paragraph said lastly but I am bad in math, I am an avid traveller. I have been to 17 different countries, I have lived in France for six months and I've also been to 37 different states. I truly believe that if one wishes to understand their own country and culture then one needs to see how it is seen from the outside.

I am a ginger, funny, and well travelled
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a senior at the University of New Orleans, and will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the International Studies program. I am currently in the Louisiana Army National Guard and will be stationed locally when I finish my training, I also work as an assistant manager at Gamestop.
I’m really good at
Trivial Pursuit, telling jokes, cheering people up, driving, movie quotes, geography, languages, listening, thinking out of the box, and cooking. I love cooking, I taught myself how to cook when I lived in France.
The first things people usually notice about me
My red hair, my sense of humor, my intelligence. I'm somewhat talkative, in fact I sometimes get very uneasy around people who don't talk much, or who can't carry on good conversation, maybe it's my New Orleans/Westbank roots but I can make friends with anyone, or at least talk to them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite single book is a toss up between Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger and the Winter of Our Discontent by John Steinbeck.
My favorite series is the 1968 printing of the Lord of the Rings Trillogy by J.R.R. Tolkien. I'm also a bit of a sci-fi/video game book nerd. I've got Halo, The Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, Starcraft and Starwars books

My favorite author is without a doubt, Nelson DeMille...with Patrick Robbinson second. Check 'em out, you won't be let down.

This is just a little bit of my book collection and favorites, I've got nearly 600 books total.

I can't pick one favorite movie, but my top five, in no particular order are:
1. Hunt for the Red October
2. The Fifth Element
3. A Bridge Too Far
4. Anchorman
5. Au revoir, les enfants

I tend to like comedy movies like Knocked Up, Superbad, Pineapple Express, I also like the old comedy movies, anything by Mel Brooks, Airplane, Caddyshack etc.

My music tastes are varied, as in really varied...from punk to country, I'll listen to most anything except rap and hip hop.
The six things I could never do without
1. A good book
2. Sushi
3. My saints season tickets
4. My friends
5. Travel
6. The ability to have fun
I spend a lot of time thinking about
New Orleans- I recently got excited over what I thought was a king cake box here in AIT, it was just a purple, green and gold Crayon box.
I also wonder how someone can be ruthless or bashfull, but never ruthfull or bashless.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually out with my friends, we usually hang out in mid city or uptown, not so much in the Quarter or downtown. BTW...by hanging out, I'm almost always at Finn Mccools in mid city, I spend about 90% of my "bar time" there, and I never miss a Monday night trivia night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once dressed up as a brown pelican in front of 7,000 people. Oh, and David Letterman once made fun of me.
