My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a student of life. I am enamored with understanding who we are as people and why the world has become what it is. In the past few years I finished up a bachelors in colonial Latin American history, traveled to south east Asia and spent 6 months traveling from Mexico to Nicaragua and back. I am always trying to figure out why people and cultures behave the way they do and imagine what may have been and what might happen in the future.

I was a teacher for 10 years before I ran away to travel. I loved it but I really got tired of the structure. So, I quit and ran off to travel until I learned to bring the traveler attitude back with me. Now, I've got things worked out pretty great. It's much more fun to have the freedom to take months of vacation whenever I want to and pursue the kinds of projects that I care about. Basically, I'm digging life and I'm looking to meet people who love life and want to enjoy it to the fullest. I get one go at this whole living thing, I figure, and I want to enjoy the hell out of it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now, I split my time between working as an arborist(read: urban lumberjack) and running a production studio with my partner. The tree work is pretty fun and has the added benefit of being a full body gym. A really tiring and dirty full body gym. The production work is what I truly love. I write, direct the creative process and keep clients happy while my partner does all the heavy lifting with the art. So, you know, a perfect fit for an outgoing Leo.

On top of that, I love to play guitar with friends, cook giant meals for everyone at whatever event I might have planned, and taking random 3 and 4 day weekends to do whatever needs doin'.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Let's see, in no particular order:
I'm an excellent cook; I love making Thai, Indian, Mexican and Ethiopian food the most.
I am a very good story teller and love to share/hear stories all the time.
I am a great communicator; I am very patient and seek to find a balance where everyone feels they've said/gotten what they want.
I am very, very good at relaxing. I'm not sure if that's a skill worth mentioning but I'm seriously good at enjoying the present moment.
I'm getting good at the guitar and love to play along with or for others.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my smile or my attitude. I tend to get along with people pretty easily. Maybe my roguish good looks?

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A computer and internet access. I love knowledge at my fingertips.
Something to read.
Music or a guitar to play.
Warm clothing when it's cold.
Friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The connections between what I'm seeing/experiencing and the story of how it got there. Fictional stories I'm working on. Or maybe I'm trying to figure out why people are doing something I don't understand, like rampant capitalism or unending warfare. In general, I spend a lot of time thinking.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
With friends making dinner, having some drinks, playing board games and laughing the whole time. Or maybe we just made it to our campground and we're setting up in the dark. Or at a show with friends. Who has a typical Friday night anyway?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My cheery optimism lightly covers a cynics heart. Or perhaps it's the other way around. Not a whole lot else on a social media site.
