My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey, I'm Adam. Before you get too far into reading my profile, I should let you know that I will be moving to Colorado next summer, so unless you happen to be planning to move there too (in which case, the universe wants us to be together!), there's a limited amount of time for us to spend together. That being said, there's plenty of fun to be had between now and then, so let's give it a shot 😊

I'm a bit of a geek, and I'm all about having a good time. I see pretty much every movie that comes out (it helps that I literally have the keys to the theater). Most of my days off are spent hanging out with friends, sometimes at a bar, sometimes on a hike or other activity, but very often we just end up hanging out at the movies (it's kind of like a clubhouse for us haha).

I'm the outdoorsy type, so naturally I love things like hiking, kayaking, and skiing. Being from New Jersey, I love going to the shore, but I can't just sit on the sand and bake. I need to be in the water. If it's nice out, I'll either be on my motorcycle or driving with the top down on my car (ok, so I have been known to drop the top when it's snowing... convertibles are too much fun to only use when it's sunny!)

I like most types of music and play a few instruments. I suppose I would be considered politically moderate, but I'm much more interested in science than politics. For a creative outlet, I like to write short stories and work on film projects with my friends.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Ecology, and I minored in Environmental & Business Economics. I'm currently working as the operations manager of a small movie theater chain.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm pretty good at getting into shenanigans, but I usually try to not cause too much commotion. Just enough to keep things interesting. My coworkers sometimes call me MacGyver because I'm very handy and I can fix anything. I am also a very good cook, and I'm always experimenting with something new. I also know a lot about a wide array of things, and whenever someone is trying to figure something out or needs an answer, they come to me, especially with science-related queries. I'm a halfway decent bowler, too.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm always smiling, which can sometimes lead to problems for me if I'm trying to play a joke on someone.

Keeping this list up to date is exhausting, so feel free to extrapolate my new favs based on the following data:

Books: The Wheel of Time series, The Way of Kings, Brave New World, anything written by Neil Gaiman, A Game of Thrones, and a bunch of graphic novels, especially Y: the Last Man and anything from Marvel. Honestly, I have a heap of books here, theres so many to list, but those ^ are the important ones. I've read a good chunk of the books on NPR's top 100 sci-fi & fantasy books (http://www.npr.org/2011/08/11/139085843/your-picks-top-100-science-fiction-fantasy-books if you are looking for a good read)

Movies: Batman Begins & The Dark Knight; The Invention of Lying; Forgetting Sarah Marshall; Inception; Back to the Future; I Love You, Man; Star Wars; Gattaca; Tron; Gran Torino; Bulitt; Snatch; Casanova; Indiana Jones; Thor; Battle: Los Angeles; the Fighter; Take Me Home Tonight; Limitless; Captain America; anything by Kevin Smith, Mel Brooks, or Pixar

TV Shows: Smallville, How I Met Your Mother, Community, Merlin, Castle, Chuck, Firefly, NCIS, Glee, Battlestar Galactica, The Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who (just started watching all the 'Classic' episodes), Arrow, Legend of the Seeker, Primeval, Robin Hood, The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the Wire, BBC nature documentary series, the Tudors, a couple of anime.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to save humanity from itself. And how to resurrect prehistoric animals.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing nothing in particular. Something different every week: sometimes work, sometimes out with friends, sometimes just chilling at home watching a movie and such.

You want to have a good time and laugh. I am a really nice guy and I'm looking for someone with whom I can have an intelligent conversation, maybe see a movie and hang out.
