I am humourous, creative, and musical.

My Self-Summary

How do ! Like many people these days I'm a composite of many things. I'm a northerner who's been an adoptive Londoner for 14 years, still very fond of the place and all that it has to offer.
I'm really looking for somebody to mooch around with, be it going to gigs, exhibitions, tea and coffee, films, sights and sounds. Luckily I'm in SE London, in a mythical Bermuda triangle whose points touch on Lewisham, Greenwich and Blackheath. More than happy sitting in the parks and pubs, watching the world turn and the people go by.
Love music (obsessional sometimes), books and doodling.

What I’m doing with my life

Other than just Rocking out?
Working day to day for an Internet based company is interesting enough and i'm balancing this with trying to sort out some artwork. In the past I've slogged it out on the shop floor for a number of years.
Still exploring the city.

I’m really good at

being receptive (some say easy going) to ideas and situations.
I can be a bit sarcastic sometimes, but i'm trying to diminish my levels of cynicism.
I'm also really good at not picking up the free papers.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books by.... Kazuo Ishiguro, John Wyndham, Kurt Vonnegut, Paul Auster, Steinbeck, Faulkner all that sort of thing.

Music....Alternative, Rock, Soul, Folk, Electronica, Country, modern stuff, classic stuff, very varied, unconventional and some conventional.

Films...generally the more off-kilter genres, classic B&W noirish stuff, some world, some hollywood, some arty. It's very easy to look like a plum listing obscure titles, so surprise me and I'll surprise you. Like some TV stuff as well (but not reality) , could never commit to watching stuff when it's actually on, but in these heady technological days it's much easier to see this on your own terms!

Food..I'll try most things. Some things I like (cakes) some things i'm not mad on (lamb), i'm modest when it comes to my cooking skills but it can be fun trying things out.

The six things I could never do without

Eyes to see
Ears to hear
Sad to say...my laptop.
Pen and paper (does that count as two??).
Some music playing device.

On a typical Friday night I am

In the Pub, at Home or between the two. Is that so strange?
