[cliche about how hard it is to describe yourself]

I guess the most important thing to know about me is that I love to laugh and make others laugh. I have a pretty dry, sometimes randomly dark sense of humor. No clue where it came from, since my dad only tells bad knock-knock jokes and my mom actually laughs at them. Could be a form of rebellion at this point.

I graduated college in 2009 with a degree in physics. Currently, I'm coaching a swim team while pursuing my teacher's certification so that I can teach high school physics. That's my realistic side kicking in, but my ultimate dream job would be comedy writing (like for Modern Family, etc) or just writing in general. So i guess that would mean the future plan is to be a respectable Clark-Kent-type teacher by day, aspiring Superman-type writer by night. Without the whole randomly running away in the middle of conversations thing.

I love music. I don't say that I have favorites, per se, because many different bands and types of music speak to me. Even embarrassing stuff that I will never EVER admit to.

In the future, I really want to travel. I've never been out of the USA and am dying to see the world. When I have the means to travel, my first trip will be to Italy (ie my ancestral heritage) and/or Greece (ie someplace awesome).

Finding humor in the weirdest places. Finding beauty in the mundane. Being sucked into those "$15 off when you spend $100" deals. Reading people. Living in organized chaos.

...Keeping goldfish alive for an astonishingly long length of time (I won 4 at a carnival, thinking them to be a short-term commitment.... they then lived for 7 years. Lucky me?).

I can also work up a mean road rage, although I'm pretty sure that's not a good thing.

I'm really tall. (5'10")

...also, I have blue eyes.

I'm all over the place when it comes to music. But I'll say this much- a good beat goes a long way.

I love standup comedy. Modern Family is one of the best shows currently on tv, in addition to The Office. True Blood holds a special place in my heart. And as a girl, it's pretty much a given that I love Glee. As for movies, its kind of a random mix but favorites include Good Will Hunting and Just Friends.

I love to read, but find it almost impossible to read a lot of non-fiction. Got that out of my system during college, I guess. Currently exploring the world of short stories.

Sometimes going out with friends, sometimes staying in and watching a movie. Recently, just drinking every weekend has gotten old and now I'm starting to look for new, interesting stuff to do.

Hanging out at a bar can be fun, but there's something to be said for breaking out of the mold and trying new things.

The first concert I ever went to was a Backstreet Boys concert when I was 15. I continue to tell people my first was actually Green Day... and then possibly gloss over the fact that I ever liked BSB at all.

I am looking for a smart, funny, caring and confident guy, who is looking to meet new people; a guy who will think I'm awesome, even if I am slightly awkward 50% of the time.
