My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Native Multi-generational Texan. I have a punk rock soul and a honky tonk heart. I'm looking for things exceptional in all areas of life. I'm more interested in good experiences than fancy possessions. That said, ain't nothin' better than a great pair of beautiful boots. In some ways my entire life has been an attempt to duplicate the feeling of hearing the Clash for the first time, because in that moment I understood transcendence perfectly. I dig therefore I am. What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to keep the unnecessary from overwhelming the important. Plotting where to hide the evidence.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding things and getting answers. I've done a lot in life, a whole lot. It's been a great ride. Now I'm living to tell the tale.
The first things people usually notice about me

That I am the most approachable neck tattoo guy they have ever met.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I work in a bookstore. I read a lot. I prefer trashy fiction because I am an escapist reader: Zombies, Apocalypses, Vampires, Crime Fiction, Westerns. I worked in the music business for a long time at a reasonably serious level. I love country and punk more than anything else but I can hold my own with anything that is good. Neurosis is playing Housecore Horror Fest. They are one of my favorite bands. I watch a lot of movies, particularly documentaries and westerns. I actually collect westerns on DVD. I eat a lot Mexican food. I used to be a vegetarian. I mostly eat veggie now but I love fried chicken more than most people love breathing. I can write you a novel on why Gus's is the best fried chicken in Austin hands down. I read. I Watch. I listen. I eat. I can talk about any or all of these things simultaneously. Bonus points to anyone who knows and loves Bill Hicks.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Pocket computer, a full coffee cup, boots, a book near by, a tattoo appointment on the horizon, a reasonable set of speakers, time to reflect, a facial hair reconfiguration on a semi-regular basis and a math lesson.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where the best cheese enchiladas are. Do you wanna have a good time?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Pondering, plotting, preparing
searching, soothing, simmering
enjoying, entranced, enmeshed
listening, living, loving
remembering, refining, rarefied.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I've had the same best friend since grade school. I am from East Texas but I am in remission. When checking out a profile, I read the questions with unacceptable answers first. If there's a serious difference in point of view, I don't want to waste your time. I'm open-minded but I am realistic. Differences are fine but if you're looking for a Suburban Ward Cleaver type we both know I am not your dance partner.
