Here's some random stuff about me:
I once attempted psychic communication with a hedgehog.
I brew my own mead.
I collect skulls, many of which I cleaned myself.
I think Groucho Marx was a genius.
I've been a semi-nomadic for most of my adult life.
I am, evidently, a direct descendant of a Norse Dwarfish god of smithing.
I'm allergic to apples, peaches and coconut.
I got rid of my TV years ago and don't miss it one bit.
I don't approve of square pizzas.
When I was 15, I bred small rodents for fun and profit.

These days, I'm a part-time philosopher, and aspiring published writer of fiction. For my entire adult life, I've been moving from place to place, in essence, going where it seems I'm needed most. Last October I moved back to RI from WV where I spent a few years farming and serving as a live-in nanny for small children. now I'm back in my home state, staying with friends who usually provide a roof when I need one, and I'm currently working out a few personal problems.

Chiefly, a Social Anxiety Disorder sort of problem.
It's making things challenging, but I'm working through it.

I'm a woodsie hippie at heart and want to acquire a lot of land than build a little cabin in the woods there and, of course, ensure it has a good internet connection.

I've got long dark brown hair and eyes to match.
Also, my quiet nature, once I get a feel for a person, my natural silence is usually pierced by my sense of humor, dry and often dark.

Books: Ishmael, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, John Dies in the End, the Hunger Games trilogy, The Ender's Game series, Si-Fi, Fantasy, Field Guides, and the backs of cereal boxes.

Movies: A Night at the Opera, Dark Knight, Fight Club, Shawn of the Dead, King Kong (the 1933 version), Evil Dead, Primer, Ink, Lo Comedy (more witty than slapstick), Fantasy, Sci-fi, combinations thereof, Zombie flicks, Cartoons, and from time to time I'm in the mood for some proper horror. (Zombie flicks don't count as horror...they're preparation for the inevitable apocalypse) and I'm usually willing to give an indi flick a shot.

Shows: Firefly, Farscape, Walking Dead, Gargoyles, Futurama, Dr. Who, Game of Thrones, Vikings, and most things with an exotic landscape, clever writing, witty dialogue and fantastic creatures.

Websites: Google is my home page (I'm almost always researching something or other), I tend to keep both facebook and gmail windows open, and I'm Darth Wrat on Kingdom of Loathing.

Music: Lately I've been digging on Irish rock (Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys), with the odd dash of scissor sisters, Garbage, Reel Big Fish and Rob Zombie, tempered by Adelle and , of course, Norah Jones when I'm looking to just chill.

Food: Bacon, Steak, Mead, Bacon, Oranges, Kiwi, Strawberry, Dutch Fries, peanut, Cheeseburger, cambells tomato soup, Bacon.
Also, I have a secret love affair with beer battered onion rings.

Seems I've had to go without everything at one point or another throughout my life. It's left me with a "I'll make do" attitude.

Here, however, is a list of six things I'd really rather not do without.
1. Companionship (kinda why I'm here)
2. Basic survival stuff (I.E. food, water, shelter, health)
3. Some way to occupy my mind and hands; like books and art
4. My sense of wonder at the universe.
5. Inspiration
6. Music.

Time travel, zombie invasion scenarios, my career as a super hero, "will this thing I'm doing right now make for a good story later", mead recipes, Ideas for creative expression stuff, what book I should read next, "what if's", and pondering the next adventure.

I'm always here, and never there.
I'm never ever anywhere,
excepting of course for here which is where I am in.
And when I go from here to there,
I take my "here" with me everywhere,
and "there" becomes a place I have been.

Vacuum cleaners make me nervous, I'm not sure why.

Somebody once said "If you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." I'm well aware that I don't come off as an amazing catch. I'm poor and have my issues. I'm also a caring, loving man. If we hit it off (and if I messaged you than I think we very well might) than I can ensure that you will feel loved, respected and never feeling lonesome for as long as I draw breath. I know what sad and lonely feels like...a lot. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. One day soon I'll be better, and I'm a damn amazing person. I know that from when I have my good days. You'd be lucky to have me, and by summing me up solely by my income or because I get nervous right now, you're missing out. Message me, try me out, and feel free to ask me anything and expect an honest response. It would take all of two minuets and could easily be the best “risk” you've ever taken.
