My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
How does one go about selling themselves online? Good question and tough task, but I'm willing to take a whack at it...

For starters, I'm employed. Gainfully. I mention that because I have heard women like a man who doesn't have to panhandle for date money. Now that we've got that big thing out of the way, a bit more about me.

I am a pretty normal guy looking for a normal gal. I'm really just looking to find someone who I can not only get along with, but who also makes me a better person.

The woman I'd like to be with has a lot of fun getting all dressed up and going out OR vegging out for a night watching movies. She's kind to strangers and her family, but knows how to stick up for herself and what she believes in. She's funny, sarcastic, caring, adventurous, compassionate, and likes me for me. Oh and she's whip-smart. Brains count. An awful darn lot.

For a literary reference about the impact the right girl should have, J.D. Salinger wrote a short story titled "A Girl I Knew" wherein, upon catching glimpse of a girl, the narrator said “She wasn’t doing a thing that I could see, except standing there leaning on the balcony railing, holding the universe together.”

If books and literature aren't your referential jam give Ray LaMontagne's "You are the best thing" a listen...

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I worked in public health for 10 years directing cancer programs for the state, but a few years ago made the transition to working for a major academic medical institution. Last year I took a position directing clinical research for cardiac surgeons and it's pretty much the best job ever

When not working I'm an extremely active person and race triathlons ranging in length from Olympic distance to Ironman. I also run a few marathons each year and try stay qualified for Boston. Whether swimming, biking or running I am all about keeping moving.

When not training or racing I'm all about getting out and experiencing life. Whether its hiking, biking, visiting the plethora of museums, eating great food, or slowing it down and simply hanging out on my back deck overlooking the lake, time is best spent outside rather than moored to a couch.

Don't get me wrong, though, sometimes the best times are spent relaxing with good company and preparing a great meal.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Eating. No really, I'm a champion eater, which is why I train so much...

I also love cooking, especially for people. You name it, I can make a great meal out of it or whatever you have in your pantry.

That said, I'm good at my job and I like to think I am a good athlete, but those are pretty small things. In the end I'd like to be considered a really good person. As poet king Hulk Hogan said "Brother, in the end we're going to be remembered as good guys or bad guys so you decide how you want to be remembered." Would you want to disappoint Hulk Hogan?
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my laugh since it can be full and hearty at times.

If not my laugh, maybe my mouthful of gold teeth or prehensile tail.

Books: I read voraciously...The booskshelf on my iPad is a cornucopia of books across a wide rage of subjects.

Movies: I like all movies. Yes I'll watch "Notting Hill" or "The Notebook" with you so long as you watch "The Avengers" or "Superman."

Music: Anything and everything really. Ok, maybe not EDM or KPOP, but most everything else.

Food: Cookies...They should be their own food group. Really.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Aside from friends, family (I have the cutest niece ever!), Coke Zero and air?

Macbook Pro
Running shoes
Amazon Prime
Occam's Razor
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think a lot about everything, but here are a few tidbits of mental floss for you...

Does anyone watch a Terrence Malik film and have a smile on their face at the end?

Why people don't use Occam's Razor more.

Was it really all Fredo's fault?

How on earth can I recycle a margarine tub, soda bottles, and other assorted "single stream" items. but my plastic bags need to be taken to the special bin at the grocery store.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sometimes I am out with friends and sometimes I am at home recovering from a long week at work and getting ready for a long weekend of training. Sometimes I even have a date.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Um, no.

However I'll throw you a bone and tell you the #731 and #1128 most private things about me....Ready?...Here goes...

#731: I let the dogs out.

#1128: I firmly believe that pro-wrestling is real and everything else is fixed.
