I am nerdy, goofy, and relaxed.
My Self-Summary
What does one write here without sounding too self-absorbed? I'm a
bit of an odd duck. I
write (not necessarily anything good
enough to be published), I read (some of the stuff I read isn't
really worthy of being published, either), I
game (video games, board games, and RPGs),
and I
shoot
(handguns and long guns alike, though I'm not usually a hunter of
anything but paper).
I'm a
libertarian, and I'm more willing to
talk politics than idly talk about the weather. I'm from a small
town, and often wish I could live in that sort of environment
again. I dislike crowds, but I'll go bar-hopping, even if it's too
crowded. I hate being the center of attention, but I'll forget
about it when I'm telling a story or explaining something I'm
interested in.
In short, I'm an educated redneck who's been transplanted into the
world of cement and steel. If you're going to be overly bothered by
guns,
nerdiness, or a bit of a
stubborn streak, you should probably stop reading now, since I
won't be giving any of those up any time soon. As indicated by the
aforementioned stubborn streak.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, I have a Bachelor's degree, with plans to get more
education. I sell guns for a living, and retail still isn't my
thing. English and political science seemed like such good majors
while I was in college. (Actually, they didn't, but they were the
majors I had the most interest in.)
I’m really good at
Well, my spelling and grammar are generally pretty darned good. I
am fairly good at most video games, and I can luck my way into
getting many mechanical devices to work for me. I'm a fair to good
shot, and I'm good at learning things I think might eventually be
useful (or that won't be, but are interesting).
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't really know, but this girl I met said the first thing she
noticed was that I was cute and had a great smile. So yeah...
Other than that, most people tend to notice my smart-alecky shirts
or my large feet and ears.

The six things I could never do without
Writing implements, something to write on, a pocketknife, random
happenstance, imagination, and interest in random subjects.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...why women torture themselves with uncomfortable shoes.
...whatever happened to the me I used to be.
...my future.
...mistakes I've made.
...mistakes I plan to make.
...
theoretical physics.
...philosophy.
...movies.
...my lack of social prowess.
...whether self-awareness is, in itself, egoism.
...Saturday morning cartoons of the '80s.
...stories I should write.
...stories I'm better off not writing.
...why I'm thinking, rather than doing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably working late or doing very little that's exciting. Friday
happens in the middle of my workweek, generally, and no one wants
to do much on a Monday night. Retail is not conducive to a social
life.
If given the chance, I'm willing to hit the bars (especially
karaoke bars), sit
around playing board games, talk to people, or do just about
anything interesting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
It wouldn't be very conducive to privacy to put it on the internet,
now would it? I guess the most private thing I will post here on
the vast interwebs is that I cut my own hair.
You should message me if
Message me if you use you're/your, their/there/they're, who/whom,
apostrophes, and semicolons correctly. Message me if you're an
interesting person. Message me if you're the least interesting
person you know, because that is interesting. Message me if you
find me interesting. Message me if you see me in your stalker list
and don't know why I didn't message you. Message me if you care.
Message me if you're too apathetic to message anyone else.
Basically, message me if you read this; it can't hurt any more than
having read my ramblings.
