I am philosophical, radical, and easily amused.
My Self-Summary
I'm in my mid-30's, just divorced, with a wonderful baby daughter.
I read a lot (no, seriously, a LOT), program computers by day and
am currently reinventing myself (patent pending).
I enjoy
boardgames,
computer games,
games in general,
reading,
programming,
hiking,
awesome conversation.
Discovered
pilates
a few months back, and enjoying it immensely.
I'm easy-going, undemanding and try and treat people well.
What I’m doing with my life
This is the time of reinvention. By which I mean I'm
reinvestigating almost everything. On the dull side, I work week
days and tend to be fairly good about being responsible...ish.
I’m really good at
I like to think I'm a good conversationalist and attentive lover.
:P
On a less serious note, I hope I'm really good at making computers
do what I want them to, (but I think the computers themselves have
doubts).
I'm a fantastic person to watch movies/series with, and/or discuss
books with.
The first things people usually notice about me
My laugh? My eyes? My noble character? All these and more! Or maybe
my sense of irony.

The six things I could never do without
The Internet!
The Internet!
The Internet!
The Internet!
The Internet!
Oxygen.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics, the state of the world, literature, movies, family, the
future of the human species, the past of the human species, jokes,
work, random events that happened decades ago, the last thing I
read online, the ideas in whatever sci book I'm currently reading,
the genius of dead poets, economics, poker, psychology, and on and
on and on.
There are very few things that don't interest me or that I'm not
curious about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Having a few drinks at the local or spending the night relaxing
with friends. Occasionally I'll be out at a party or a club, or
possibly at a braai.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am a non-monogamist and an atheist. In general I'm secretive in
public and very open in intimate relationships.
You should message me if
You're funny and non-clingy and hold non-conventional but
critically sound points of view. You're not hung up about sex and
you're not looking for someone to be your "everything".
If you like literature (in particular science fiction and
"classics" like Virginia Woolf and Hemmingway) then I'm your guy.
Ditto with moving pictures (series or cinema), or games of any
sort.
If you're looking for a rugger bugger or someone who cares about
soccer and/or sport in general, then don't expect me to hold up my
end of the relationship.
