My self-summary
I'm all sorts of nerdy and geeky, funny (that's actually a lie. I am so far from funny that I actually make nearby milk crawl up people's noses), sarcastic, cuddly and curious.

I've found that climbing is just about the most fun you can have with your pants on. I've done all kinds of sports in my life, but this one is definitely "it" for me. There's something very Zen-like about climbing, and even though it's technically a solo sport I like the social aspect of it.

I'm a programmer by profession, but I like to think I don't fit the stereotype. Well, not the standard programmer stereotype in any case.

To paraphrase the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation, "I'm your plastic pal who's fun to be with."
What I’m doing with my life
I dropped out of university to go and make games for a living.

I try to live so that I maximize my happiness.

Happiness is having friends who I can really enjoy being with. It's going to drum and bass parties with tem. It's climbing, or reading books, or just watching movies on Netflix all day. It's spending a beautiful summer day in the park, attempting to read a book but accidentally falling asleep.

It's all that. Well that and eating lamb kofta. Man I love that stuff.
I’m really good at
making incredibly loud clicky sounds with my tongue.

Pretty impressive, huh?
The first things people usually notice about me
I've been told that my face is really "animated." Go figure. I've also got a few tattoos (and yes, that's a link).

Personality-wise I'd wager it's my sense of humor and the fact that I never shut up.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a huge scifi fan (a geek who loves sci-fi? Who woulda thunk?) so my books tend to gravitate in that direction. Favorite scifi authors include folks like Charles Stross, Douglas Adams and Iain Banks (with and without the M.) On the non-scifi -side, I absolutely love Chuck Palahniuk and I've managed to get hooked on reading about the history of cryptography.

Shows? I loved the Battlestar Galactica reboot and Firefly. Breaking Bad is naturally FREAKING AWESOME. Fringe was fun for a while too.
Oh, and David Tennant is the Doctor.

I like all sorts of movies. Blade Runner is one of my all-time favorites, though.

My taste in music is pretty eclectic (here's me on Spotify in case you have it. ) I listen to everything from drum'n'bass to classical music, folk to industrial metal.
The six things I could never do without
— Toothpicks. I'm addicted to them and I need help
— The internets
— Climbing
— Good friends
— My liver
— This last thing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about

The universe and how weird it can be is a constant source of amazement and downright glee for me.
On a typical Friday night I am
spending a Friday night. Sometimes partying or out sitting in the park if it's summer. Sometimes I'll just stay in, read a book or play video games and accidentally get lost on Wikipedia. Depends, really.
