My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I recently moved to Montréal with my girlfriend, and it'd be nice to meet new folks 'round these parts, especially now that winter's almost over and you can spend over 15min outside without freezing to death.

I'm all sorts of nerdy and geeky, funny (that's actually a lie. I am so far from funny that I actually make nearby milk crawl up people's noses), sarcastic, cuddly and curious.

I'm a programmer by profession, but I like to think I don't fit the stereotype. Well, not the standard programmer stereotype in any case.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I dropped out of university to go and make vidya games for a living.

I try to live so that I maximize my happiness. Happiness can be anything from going to an experimental electro gig to reading a good book, or just watching movies on Netflix all day. Or maybe spending a beautiful summer day in the park, drinking beer and attempting to read a book but accidentally falling asleep.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
making incredibly loud clicky sounds with my tongue. I'm also full of odd trivia.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told that my face is really "animated." Go figure. I've also got a few tattoos (and yes, that's a link).

Personality-wise I'd wager it's my sense of humor and the fact that I never shut up.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm a huge scifi fan (a geek who loves sci-fi? Who woulda thunk?) so my books tend to gravitate in that direction. Favorite scifi authors include folks like Charles Stross, Douglas Adams and Iain Banks (with and without the M.) On the non-scifi -side, I absolutely love Chuck Palahniuk and I've managed to get hooked on reading about the history of cryptography.

Shows? I loved the Battlestar Galactica reboot and Firefly. Currently badly hooked on Better Call Saul.
Oh, and David Tennant is the Doctor.

I like all sorts of movies. Blade Runner is one of my all-time favorites, though.

My taste in music is pretty eclectic (here's me on Spotify in case you have it. ) I listen to everything from drum'n'bass to classical music, folk to industrial metal.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
— toothpicks. I'm addicted to them and I need help
— the internets
— climbing
— good friends
— my liver
— my Kindle. Actually, you can have my liver; just leave me the Kindle.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

The universe and how weird it can be is a constant source of amazement and downright glee for me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
spending a Friday night. Sometimes partying or out sitting in the park if it's summer. Sometimes I'll just stay in, read a book or play video games and accidentally get lost on Wikipedia. Depends, really.
