I'm whimsical, so I need a partner who respects and enjoys silliness. I also have a serious side, and that part of me appreciates tolerance, support, and kindness. Let's laugh when we can and comfort each other when we can't.

A little trivia: I grew up near Detroit, Michigan. I collect clocks. I love roller coasters but haven't been on one in a long time. I play several musical instruments (poorly). I love movies and music, and I wish I were a better actor or musician. I have studied language, linguistics, and typography extensively. I have the fearlessness and attention span of a Jack Russel terrier.

I am playful, talented, and kind.

Pursuing my dreams. I'm a professional photographer, a college student, a roller derby referee in training, a singer, and a gamer. I have a terrific grown-up daughter.

I love spicy food and loud music. I miss the kind of chili dogs you get in Detroit. I'm not a big fan of sweets, but I love pie. Especially pizza pie, ha!

I also love quirky stuff: music like Cake and Danielle Dax, movies like Grosse Pointe Blank and The Name of the Rose, shows like Fringe and Leverage.

Die Hard is the best action movie ever. Lawrence of Arabia is my favorite epic. Well, that and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Recently I've been listening to Silversun Pickups excessively. And the Les Miserables soundtrack. And the stuff they play at the roller rink.

What I would do if I didn't need to worry about money anymore. Whether I should go to bed or play one more turn. How I'm going to hang the new cabinets in the dining room. Which new songs I want to try for karaoke. When I can make time to play my new game / movie / TV series.

This could be a long list. I keep a lot of irons in the fire, and I never stop thinking.

Singing. Playing video games or board games with my friends. Taking my daughter out to her favorite Italian restaurant. Skating. Going to the movies, or watching one at home. Chatting online.

I believe that Eeyore is secretly an optimist. He always soldiers on! He just has a bad habit of announcing all of his problems to the world. I'm that kind of optimist. It makes a lot of people think I'm negative, but really I'm just thinking out loud.
