Senior Music Theatre Major
I'm on this site because I spend an obscene amount of time at
school and working toward my career goals and cannot or at least
have not met new (high-quality) men in a long time because of
it.
I'm a hopeless romantic with an old fashioned idea of romance but a
very modern idea of roles mingled with an ageless philosphy on
human interactions.
As an actor I have been trained to study the human condition and
make assumptions based on clues given by the human beings portrayed
in plays and in life. I'm completely fascinated by the human
condition but at the same time I'm ready to be distracted by life
again. To be so caught up in my own adventures that the study of
the emotions behind it gets forgotten.
This may seem overly philisophical but having just finished my
senior thesis and therefore still reeling slightly from the stress
of it has brought me to a philisophical mood.
Four more months and I will be thrown out of the college tree and
into one of the most emotionally difficult careers on earth and I
can't wait. My plan for after school (as everyone in my life keeps
asking me these days) is to stay in Miami for awhile taking
advantage of contacts or move to NYC if the showcase provides me
with an oppurtunity. And if all else fails and I have no job to go
to then I will stupidly spend all of my money on a roadtrip through
eastern Europe. I don't want to leave my bucket list for my gray
haired years.

My self-summary
What I'm doing with my life
My senior thesis was a self written, self produced, self directed,
self designed, self performed one woman show about a woman who gets
artificially inseminated. This is not very telling since I don't
have any interest in having children until much further down the
road. This semester will be completely in preperation for the NYC
showcase in April.
I'm really good at
Singing, dancing, acting, interior design, photography and writing.
These are the things I've been told I'm good at anyway. I also
consider myself good at understanding people and have often
surprised people with my insights.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
I hate this question. Different people will notice different things
and sometimes you notice nothing until it demands to be noticed.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books- Pride and Prejudice, Atonement, theatrical biographies,
Harry Potter, After the War, dramatic literature, Jane Eyre,
Twilight, The Da Vinci Code, fantasy, historical dramas, classics,
etc. I like books that can take me places that I couldn't go
myself. For example my least favorite book was The Barefoot Mailman
- it's about a guy who delivered mail up and down the florida coast
from miami to palm beach...
Movies - Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, musical movies, A Little Princess, Nightmare Before Christmas, Amelie, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, A Very Long Engagement, Shakespeare in Love!!, Midsummer Night's Dream, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead!!, Dark Knight, Air Force One, Hook, Les Miserables, Cate Blanchette, Gary Oldman, Gene Kelly, Definetly, Maybe...
Music - Musical Theatre, Movie Soundtracks, some classical, bits and pieces of all sorts of music. I tend to like individual songs rather then particular artists or genres. I listen to Y100 on the radio if that tells you anything.
Theatre - Les Mis, Jason Danieley, Gypsy, Sondheim, Showboat, Carousel, Marin Mazzie, August: Osage County, Jane Eyre, Ragtime, Kelly O'hara, Titanic, Cheyenne Jackson, Bernadette Peters, Sutton and Hunter Foster, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, I could go on and on even though I'm sure it means little to most people reading this.
TV - Sex and the City, Will and Grace, Grey's Anatomy, TLC, History Channel, Mythbusters, Cash Cab, Project Runway, SYTYCD, ANTM, Bravo, HGTV, etc.
Food - Italian, American, homemade stuff, good chinese, peanut butter m&m's, Reeses, Lucille's BBQ, Jewish traditional food, Little Pie Company, Beer Garden in Astoria, Big Pink on South Beach, Greenstreet in the Grove, I'm really picky but I am open to try new things usually.
