My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there, I’m Ohad. It's an unusual name but it is my name.

Originally from the Philly area, I came here to go Pitt and liked this city so much that I decided to stick around for a bit.

I’m an introverted creative type and express that aspect of my personality through my photography.

Went on a few hiking trips this Summer and enjoyed them a lot. I forgot how much I liked going on day trips but I hope to get out a few more times before winter.

I also enjoy traveling and am fortunate to have had opportunities to travel to parts of Europe, South America and the Middle East and hope to one day make it to Africa and Australia.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I’m a photographer and mainly like to shoot events and portraits.

Currently working on an ongoing portrait series on Millennials.

Recently got myself a Yashica rangefinder and am getting back into shooting film.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Geography-name a country and I usually know where it is on the globe.

Beard growing

Navigating the labyrinth of Pittsburgh's streets.

Driving in the snow.
The first things people usually notice about me

My unusual name and sometimes my camera.

Also, I'm always shocked when someone else is surprised at my left-handedness.

100 Years of Solitude, Battle Royale, A Song of Ice and Fire, American Gods, The Guns of August

Indiana Jones, the Good the Bad and the Ugly, the Fifth Element, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Alien, Aliens, Predator, the Thing, most films by Kurosawa or the Coen Brothers.

The Wire, Game of Thrones, Portlandia, Band of Brothers, Seinfeld.

Music wise, there are tons of songs I like but I'm bad at keeping track of who wrote what. Some bands I enjoy include Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Gogol Bordello, Murs, Mos Def, Yeasayer and Ra Ra Riot. I've come to accept that I'm not a sophisticated music aficionado, my radio is usually set to NPR.

I like most kinds of food but especially Indian and Middle Eastern food. I drink beer that isn't Bud Light Platinum.

I guess while I'm at it, my favorite photographers: Steve McCurry, Mary Ellen Mark, Zack Arias, Dan Winters, Damon Winter, Eliot Erwitt, Richard Avedon and Timothy Archibald.
