I'm a music hoarder and rather omnivore so I'll try to be brief.
Indie anything (Arctic Monkeys, Yeah Yeah Yeah, Arcade Fire,
Crystal Castles, LCD soundsystem, plus many bands you've never
Electronic music with special consideration for early UK dubstep,
the so-called IDM, and minimal techno.
The '90s were my formative years so loud-quiet-loud alt rock
(Pixies, Nirvana, RATM, Pavement, Deftones…) is embedded in my
brain and there's nothing I can do about it.
I surf all waves of punk, new waves, and no waves.
Movies: like you and everybody else, I pretty much like anything by
Wes Anderson, David Lynch, Tim Burton, Tarantino, the Cohen
On an early date I would make you watch Funky Forest, Dogtooth, or
El Topo, just to see if there is potential between us - they work
better than any quiz and matchmaking algorithm.
I have a thing for documentaries, Errol Morris and Werner Herzog
above all (note: if you don't like documentaries it can only be
because you haven't seen any good ones).
My Netflix and Bittorrent queues are longer than yours.

Food: I cook - you guessed it - Italian. I loathe Italian-American
restaurants and I eat out very often, trying a bit of

Books: academia forces me to read lots of obscure non fiction that
would not look good on a dating profile.
Recent books I read & liked: Debt by David Graeber, The
Corrections by Jonathan Franzen, Remainder by Tom McCarthy.
Italo Calvino represents.
And since everybody on this site feels committed to mention 1984,
check this: my favorite Orwell book is Homage to Catalonia.
I'm not very passionate about TV shows but: Twin Peaks, Black
Mirror, Arrested Development, Portlandia, Girls (season 1). I can
do Game of Thrones. I endured a couple of seasons of Breaking Bad
and Mad Men.
