My self-summary
I grew up upstate but always knew I'd live here.
And I've always felt that if you're going to live in a place with a Real Winter it might as well have Energy. Winter in the country is only adorable for less than a week at a time.
Speaking of winter, I'll always need to live in a place with seasons. How else will I know what mood to be in?

I keep a journal, but my (very recent) diagnosis of ADD might explain why I actually have several journals and I just write in whichever one I find first.

So many things make so much more sense now.

I'm the charming and charismatic guy. I debated writing this in here, but frankly if we were to meet this would probably come out in full force, and some people really don't like that guy.

I've got an incredible partner,Morganirene, and that relationship is my priority, however I would like to meet new people for Friendships+: a mutually respectful relationship where we enjoy each other's company, maybe some makeouts, maybe more.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to quiet my brain a little bit. It's going medium-well.

I've got a very New York-specific job that I don't know how it would translate anywhere else. We'll see.
I work very intensely three days a week (mostly weekends), but I'm pretty much free the rest of the time.

I'm a 35-year-old man living in New York, which feels like some glaringly obvious midpoint. Working on the next steps. Until then, trying not to get too comfortable in my life, or more accurately, trying to get uncomfortable again. I don't want to be that guy who says no to some awesome invite somewhere because the train ride's too long or the L is down, or the line to get in is too long (that one's tough though).
I’m really good at
Making you laugh
Putting people at ease
Keeping everyone's secrets
Telling stories
Planning trips to Fire Island
Planning trips
To Fire Island
Being the life of the party
The first things people usually notice about me
Energetic. Excited. Game.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I once only read Fitzgerald for an entire year over and over. I did that also with Cormac McCarthy. The last great books I read were Brothers and The Botany of Desire.

Btw, I'm a sucker for writers.

The Boss.
Nicki Minaj.
Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
The soundtrack by Donovan to "Brother Sun, Sister Moon", the 70's movie about Saint Francis of Assisi.
Show tunes.

Do with that what you will.

Love movies, but am no movie snob. Death Proof, Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained, 28 Days Later, Drop Dead Gorgeous, She's the Man, Moonstruck (pretty much any movie filmed in the 80's in NYC, actually). The last great movie I saw was The One Hundred Year Old Man Who Jumped Out the Window and Escaped. At least I think that's what it's called.

In my twenties, I was a professional cook. It destroyed my body and paid next to nothing but it was really fun. I've moved on, but food is both still something I love and still part of my career. Some of my favorites:
Sesame anything
Pretty much anything with seaweed in it
Popcorn (maybe one day I'll make you my savory vanilla popcorn)
Lobster and butter and lemon on a picnic table in the summer
Rock shrimp 4ever
Minneola oranges (winter)
Watermelon (summer)
Tempeh reubens
The illustrious hamburger

I'm aware this list looks a little weird. Whatever.

I once won a pretty cool award for a burger recipe. I just mastered my technique for roast beef po' boys. My next project is curing my own prosciutto.
The six things I could never do without
my friends, my brother, humor, dancing, swimming and water, art, Fall, books, theater, vanilla, my (chef) knife, kink, travel. I guess that's like 30 things but whatever. You're not the Thing Police.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What is going on in the world.
Amusing anecdotes.
Sex and kink
The reason
How to frame the pieces in my small but growing art collection so they don't looked trapped.
Water features - I just love 'em.
On a typical Friday night I am
At a banya in south Brooklyn, shvitzing.

I used to be searching for the best Italian-American restaurant in Brooklyn so I could relive my suburban childhood as a young Jew surrounded by loud Italians but I found it! so maybe there, drinking red wine and eating baked clams

Dining with friends, more often at someone's house than at a restaurant now, because now we're matoor

Out with you?

Maybe working. (UPDATE- NOT working.)

Wandering the city searching for dive bars I haven't found as well as excellent Camera Obscuras

Probably planning on going to a movie and then deciding not go because it'll be crowded

Getting the *&%! outta NYC: mountain, beach, different city, etc, I love it all
You should message me if
You're entertained by the idea of meeting for a drink, or a walk, or a something, and seeing if there's chemistry.
I'll always have a soft spot for the more feminine presenting - be they male (serious soft spot here), female, or somewhere in between. But the reality is I'm open to all kinds of lovely people.

Ideally you are looking for friendly, casual, sexy/kinky situations. Always down for new friends as well.
