of my free time with martial arts and writing, but family and
friends are important too, and I tend to spend time with friends
most evenings, watching films or revelling in their (mostly)
intelligent company.

My self-summary
What I'm doing with my life
I'm dedicated to experiencing the highest peaks of self awareness
that life can provide (which may sound silly, I don't know, I just
like to experience new things and play around with the status quo).
Furthering my Kung Fu skills is quite important to me also, in as
much as it gives a nice sense of physical presence, which is handy
when trying to avoid walking into lamposts. At the moment I'm
finishing a long due degree, and exploring possible avenues of
escape from the rigid confines of retail work, potentially with
travel.
I'm really good at
Being a nuisance. Eating slowly. Procrastinating. Cogitating.
Standing on one leg.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
It's probably not the first thing people notice, but both my eyes
are blue with brown parts. (Central and sectoral heterochromia for
those who like long words.)
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I'm an avid consumer of all great literary works and well crafted
cinema. I like a wide variety of musical styles, from Blues Rock to
Classical, Jazz and so on. Never been a big fan of Rap or Hiphop
though. Great food is perhaps my biggest weakness, in that I can be
ecstatic over a good meal, but I often don't have the time I would
like to cook such things (as I do possess a reasonable amount of
culinary expertise). Seeing as I don't have much information here
on what I actually like to watch, read or listen to, I can mention
a few odd favourites:
Books: The Hichhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Gormenghast, Dune, Moondust, Three Men in a Boat, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrel, Life of Pi, The Time Traveller's Wife, 1984, The Lord of the Rings, Incompetence, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Dracula, The Hobbit, Watchmen, The War of the Worlds, Our Man in Havana, Fahrenheit 451, the list goes on.
Movies: Singing in the Rain, Alien, Grave of the Fireflies, Princess Mononoke, Brazil, Amelie, The Terminator, 2001, Planet of the Apes, Yojimbo, When the Wind Blows, Nosferatu, Fist of Legend, Blade Runner, Batman, Withnail and I, Pan's Labyrinth, A Fistful of Dollars, Angel's Egg, and that's where I get bored.
Music: Mstislav Rostropovich, Bach, Zoe Keating, Ayreon, Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Who, Origa, Jeff Buckley, Beck, Beethoven, Queen, The Prodigy, Radiohead, Seatbelts, The Stone Roses, and various other crap that I probably shouldn't listen to including film soundtracks.

The six things I could never do without
People put far too much stock in material things. And non-material
things are not hard to come by if you know where to look for them.
That makes no sense, but neither does this box.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The Cosmos, Life, Death, and what it means to be human. And also
what I'm going to have for lunch. I'm superficial like that.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching a good film with friends, possibly with a glass of wine.
Staying in is underrated.
