My self-summary
45 and stayin alive! I'm comfortable with myself, happy and successful in my life, loving living in Oakland (Grew up here in the Bay Area), and happy that my work is aligned with making the world a better place.
What I’m doing with my life
Serving, having fun, enjoying nature, being real.

I work for a tech company that is about changing the world through the power of conversations. MaestroConference.com if you want to check it out. It is fun and really challenging work

I also facilitate communication and mindfulness workshops and am building that business to offer skillful communication techniques in organizations. The thing I love most about good communication is that when we are real, vulnerable and authentic with each other things always work out better than we could have expected.

For my down time I love to camp on by the ocean, take road trips up to the Sierra's, soak in hotsprings, hike, dance, listen to live music, make dinner with friends.
I’m really good at
Listening, being present and helping people find their gifts and clarity.
Watching the sunset in silence and appreciation.
Developing a sales and marketing strategy.
Being romantic and taking care of my lady.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile, my heart. You tell me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV/Movies: Haven't owned a TV in a while although I almost wish I had one for the World Cup! I have been loving the World Cup. I like to watch other sports sometimes, Netflix and occasionally going out to a movie.

Reading the Night Circus now. I have read a lot of pyschology, communication and spiritual books like Eckhart Tolle and the Enneagram. I also really like history (was a history major in college).

I also love the sensual, sacred poetry of Rumi, Hafiz and the Radiant Sutra's. I am actually leading an Evening of Ecstatic Poetry and Music at Yoga Tree SF on July 26. If you're interested, come! https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/ASP/home.asp?studioid=-45

I love seeing live music and going out to eat. We live in a mecca for good food and music, don't we?
The six things I could never do without
Music and dance
Love and purpose
Nature
Having fun and making people lighten up, smile and feel their hearts
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Less thinking and more being.

I used to think a lot about the world situation, climate change, war and all that. Now I act more, am relaxed more, more effective and much happier :)

A zen teacher I studied with for a while said "when you act from a place of division, no matter what you do, you end up creating more division, but when you act from a wholeness no matter what you do you create more wholeness" You get it? What a simple way to live, to be happy and heal the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Could be relaxing at home, out dancing, meeting with friends, who knows, so many things.

I have been a really spiritual, conscious person but I really do like to go out and have a couple of drinks and have a good time. too. I just don't drink much because I hate feeling like crap the next day.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Thats the good stuff that if we're lucky gets to be shared later.

I did spend the night in a Mexican jail once...
