I am Pedantic, Ironic, and Obtuse.

My Self-Summary

I consider myself an intelligent, if somewhat inept individual who manages, between sidelong glances, to move onward in life. I hope, one day, to have a PHD(for what it's worth), and hopefully contribute to the bulk of human knowledge. I'm not sure if it's enough to be only concerned with the individual--I like helping people in their problems, curiously, and try to be a nice guy.

I'm probably best understood as an optimistic cynic. Make sense of that and I'm sure I'll fall into place nicely.

Overall, I'm easy to get along with, but might seem gruff on the first meeting, or dialogue. I suppose this confuses new friends, or acquaintances, when compared to my close friends. I guess I like meeting new people, but the first meeting is always a bit awkward. It's best if you have pocketed jokes.

I'm not terribly outgoing, but I'm hardly some introvert planning some rampage(they give legitimate introverts a bad name). I like going out, but I think conversation has taken a back seat to pure experience. If you can't talk, then why be friends with that person?

And I do have a sense of humor, but it’s quite dry—maybe you’ve picked up on it? It seems hard slipping in jokes here and there. I’ll try my best below.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm working on University, it seems. I am an English/Philosophy major and, dutifully, manage to excel at the gregarious task of confounding myself on a daily basis. In that sense, I am proud of myself.

Making myself "better", as it were, is an important task, and I hope to "do" something some day. What that may, or may not, be is a different matter.

Additionally, I am a semi-professional game designer--at the moment, in fact, working on a product which could be sold come later this year. My fingers are crossed on that front. I do try and write, too, but that is a deliberate, painful process that takes time and energy. There is not much sympathy for the dull chatter of keyboards.

Also, I am trying to include commas as often, and appropriately, as possible in any and all sentences.

I’m really good at

Good Conversation? When the situation calls for it, anyways. Additionally, I am known--in certain, special, circles--as quite the writer.

Also, I could probably beat you at Street Fighter 2 or Super Smash Bros..

The first things people usually notice about me

My hair, or the scruffle beard. Perhaps some day I shall do something with that.

Beyond that initial hair shock, people find my odd speech(and curious words) to take up more importance.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The six things I could never do without

1) Friends
2) Introspection
3) Art(broadly understood)
4) Thoughtfulness
5) Writing
6) New Experience

I spend a lot of time thinking about

At this point, this question has stumped me the most. How about I say "I spend a lot of time thinking about the answer to the question 'What do I spend a lot of time thinking about?'"

On a typical Friday night I am

Online talking with friends. At the moment, money precludes too many adventures.

That said, is there a typical Friday night?

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

That once, in the throes of passion, I confessed to be a Nazi*.

*This may or may not be true**.

You should message me if

I sound interesting? I'll respond to everything, this means even if you cannot come up with something witty or "insightful" to say.

I'm open to shooting the shit, basically: tell me why early Kurosawa movies are better, maybe Kraft cheese is inferior, or tell me why all donuts have names like prostitutes. Point being: I'm open to conversation.

Also: something more than "What's up" would be nice.
