I'm here to meet some like minds and to open up my friendship
circle. If anything more happens then I would consider myself very
lucky. Mostly I'm looking for someone I click with, be it for long
conversations over a glass or two, going to movies, or seeing what
Melbourne has to offer.
I assume I'm not like most girls, but you can be the judge of that.
I'm witty, sarcastic, nerdy and easy going, at times. I have a few
tattoos, and some of the newer stuff is quite large. Last piece I'm
still working on is a half sleeve.
Work keeps me fairly busy, but I'm trying to keep a good work/life
balance. Something easier said than done.
What I’m doing with my life
I usually spend most of my time doing work, and avoiding it. I work
in education, teaching children how to read and write (or at least
thats what I try to do). I mostly just make bad jokes and pop
culture references they don't get. At least they think I'm
Outside of that, and when I finally have some free time, I try to
keep up with a TV series or two, cook or convince someone else to
eat out so I don't have to cook, watch movies at home or on the big
screen, and I try to get to at least one or two gigs every month.
I’m really good at
Cooking (but I would still love to take classes), listening to
others and sarcasm.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my accent. I'm always getting asked where I'm from. In
case you're wondering, I'm American. I'm from (upstate) NY and have
been here for almost 12 years.
Or maybe my eyes?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I love modern classics and have read most of them in high
school. I had a crazy English teacher that shared his love of
literature with his students. My favourites are Shelley's
'Frankenstein' and Steinbeck's 'Grapes of Wrath.' I also enjoyed
newer titles such as 'Life of Pi' and 'Poisonwood Bible.' Sadly, I
don't get to read much anymore, but if I had the time I would catch
up on some comics.
Films: The Matrix, Donnie Darko, Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland,
Scott Pilgrim, Batman(s), Going the Distance, LOTR, Harry Potters,
The Goonies, Fight Club, Iron Man and The Avengers, to name only a
TV: Community, Game of Thrones, Sons Of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, The
Walking Dead, Firefly, Spaced, Stargate Atlantis, Star Trek TNG,
Mad Men, Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad.
Music: I'm into rock (punk/alternative/hard). Bands like Tool, This
Will Destroy You, From Monument to Masses, Mogwai, Gojira, Sydonia,
Artic Monkeys, Bertie Blackman, We Are Scientists and The
Food: I pretty much eat whatever, Japanese and Mexican are at the
top of the list though.
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My zombie survival plan. A girl must be prepared.
Work. It's often on my mind and I have one of those jobs I can't
leave behind at the end if the day.
My personal goals. I'm always striving towards some sort of
Analysing others. I can't help but be fascinated and frustrated by
what other people say or do.
Wondering how people can be so stupid! It amazes me how some people
can survive without common sense or a sense of community.
I think about nerdy stuff a lot.
Or I just correct grammar. Often just to myself. ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
It depends on the week of course. Some weekends Im busy with a
movie, out to dinners or a gig. If I have nothing planned then I'll
be on the sofa after an exhausting week of work. I love Friday
nights because it's my first night to just rest.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Although I'm good at hiding it, I'm a (little) bit of a romantic.
You should message me if
You are sick of meeting the same boring girls or you see something
in my profile. Maybe you just want to say hi and tell me a little
If you message me with something generic like 'hey' or even 'wanna
fuck?' you clearly put in no effort and have little respect for me.
Don't expect a reply.
