My self-summary
My name's Garrett, and I do stuff.

I was born on the east coast, grew up in the midwest, and now I've ended up in the south somehow... but I think I like it!

I like classic video games, technology in general, flip flops and a hoodie on a fall day, and pretty much any body of water. Not at the same time, though, that would probably kill the electronics...

I am an introvert and purebred geek with a small group of close friends (who unfortunately live out of state) and lots of acquaintances, both of which I am looking to expand.

I speak fluent sarcasm. If you do too, we'll get along just fine.
What I’m doing with my life
If you've seen Office Space, you now know what my life is in a nutshell.

But it's really not that bad. I'm a software developer for a small company in a small town, and I have no plans on changing that anytime soon.
I’m really good at
Eating! I may not look like it, but I can put away food like it's my job.

I also have superhuman procrastination.

...I can also give you your money's worth at Mario Kart.
The first things people usually notice about me
They don't notice me. I'm actually a ninja.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Sadly, I don't read for fun. I don't have the attention span. I blame Netflix for that (30 Rock, The Office, Leverage, Bones).

I love all comedy movies (Airplane) and action movies (V for Vendetta). I will watch pretty much any movie outside of the blood n' guts horror films.

My favorite food is boneless buffalo wings, with sushi coming in at a close second. I am always up for new food and I will eat nearly anything once. Unless it was approved for Fear Factor (and even then, throw some Frank's Hot Sauce on it and I'm good)

My music tastes are kinda broad - just keep me away from rap. From Maroon 5 to Pendulum to Hans Zimmer (props if you didn't have to google that)
The six things I could never do without
Internet - I'm basically surgically attached to it.
Water - Hi my name's Garrett and I like long walks on the beach.
Frank's Red Hot Sauce - I wasn't kidding earlier.
Humor - I would probably die without this. Don't confuse this with my humerus... I might be able to live without that.
Coffee Shops - Local ones are always better.
A good pair of flip flops - This is important.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Food.

My future - I know that someday I won't be where I am now, working the job that I am now, living the way I am now. I always love to entertain what could be in my mind.

Food.

Did I mention food?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a deep love and appreciation for the retro video game consoles (NES, Super Nintendo) and their soundtracks.

Actually, it's not that private. Sorry that I let you down.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 20–26
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
Please message me if:
- You think I'd be fun to get to know, and you think that you'd want to hang out sometime in the future!
- You think there is possible chemistry between us!
- I messaged you! (Because I assumed the former two when doing so)
- You got the Friday reference above.

Do NOT message me if:
- Your messages look like someone slammed their face on the keyboard. I'm not an English teacher, but give me faith in the education system.
- You have no intention of ever meeting up.
- You use fish-face myspace mirror pics. This is the 21st century.
- You actually enjoy the song from the Friday reference above.

ALSO, I feel like I need to add this after talking to a few people on here:
----
CONVERSATIONS ARE TWO-WAY
----
Please, if I ask you a question, answer it and do something to push the conversation along. Don't just answer it and expect me to interview you, because I'll probably just stop talking - a magic 8-ball is just as interesting and doesn't require the internet.

And heck, if you actually got this far, mention something about bananas in your message to me so I can give you a gold star :p
