My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A charming hipster of sorts (love art and music you might have never heard before but I won't be pretentious about it) who is looking for what's missing in his life.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
More or less I'm an artist/jack of all trades. Music and Art are my passion. I breathe and live both practically every day and I'm proud of that fact even if that makes me a silly chap with a Bachelors in Fine Arts and English Literature. Update: Formerly an Enricher of Houstonian Culture/Epic-class Arts & Crafts Person by trade, at the moment I am a universal wanderer extraordinaire. Also lately I've been actively volunteering here and there trying to make the universe a bit of a better place with each new day. In short - I'm living. Now I'm just trying to make a difference and figure out all the big whats-its and whys.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being myself. I also excel at living life without regrets and screaming out my new catch-phrase "Geronimo!" at the top of my lungs. Other than that I'm a jack of all trades: I can paint my bloody heart out, I love to play guitar, waxing poetic as well as cooking, sometimes both at the same time. I'm just an all-around pleasant mellow fellow.

would be my appearance. I tend to overdress and chances are I'm usually no face in the crowd. Call it a bit of intrigue, call it a certain je ne sais quoi? I also surprise new folks I meet with my age especially when they catch me after a shave. Folks also tend to be surprised by my above average level of fitness; I like to live healthy and find it's nice being fit compared to how I once was (long story). I also tend to integrate British idioms as well as my favorite song lyrics into all my conversations. Speaking of which when I'm out on the streets on my own I'm usually listening to my trusty Zune and mouthing out the lyrics to what I'm listening to.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm a so-so reader. My absolute favorite novel I have encountered so far would undoubtedly be Joyce's Ulysses followed by anything written by Murakami like Norwegian Wood. Also as of late I've grown very fond of poetry: Eliot, Larkin, Plath, & Pound all give me shivers.

My top 3 favorite movies in no particular order: Amelie, Lost in Translation, as well as Submarine. And a few random titles I'm just going to throw at you: Persepolis, Across the Universe, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Rushmore, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, A Clockwork Orange, Getting Any?, Hot Fuzz, Kung-fu Hustle, Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, Oldboy, Bunraku, and many more foreign films, etc etc.

I'm a self-proclaimed foodie and I'm not picky about what I eat. Update: Just realized that besides supper I essentially eat a fairly clean vegetarian diet and I have no problem being vegetarian/pescetarian/flexitarian from here on out as long as I have the means to do so.

As far as my taste in music goes it's eclectic and eccentric (I am a hipster of sorts after all.) But I love recommending bands to anyone that asks and wants to get to know me. I'd rather not list all my favorites because I think this would make for great conversation. In fact I must admit: any woman that can talk music with me already has a foot in the door to my heart. In the meantime here's a song that currently represents how I feel:

Finally as an artist I believe I'm obliged to mention a few of my influences: Basquiat, Pollock, Rothko, and Kandinsky.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The essentials, Art, Music, Exercise, Happiness, And you?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I'm heading next. As of late I've been finding myself referring to myself as a budding Existentialist of sorts as well as an Intellectual (I'm realizing and relishing the fact I'm always learning new things with every new day). Nevertheless I take each day as they pass and enjoy all the highs and lows they bring. When my mind drifts elsewhere I'm usually fascinated with people in general and what other people do in their everyday lives.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
These days it seems to involve one/or all of the following: jamming out on my guitar when the muse strikes me, eating homemade cinnamon maple oatmeal, pondering the existential whatsits of life or blaring "How Soon Is Now?" on my earphones. :P
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can be more of a nerd/dork at times than I let on. I enjoy video games, anime, manga, internet humor, and the like but I think that adds to my charm at times (lately I've even been finding myself relating a lot to The Doctor. Go on and ask why.) I can also be charmingly awkward and clumsy but hey my mistakes were made for you old sport. In general I'm pretty much full of surprises. Oh and my favorite color is violet if you're wondering.

You really would like to get to know me more and think we could connect and really click with each other. Also as cliche as it seems I'm always happy to chat music with anyone and recommend bands and songs to those that want to hear something different.
