Thought I should put this up front!!!!!
Due to a knee injury last year that never healed (I got bumped by a log....really….. it’s true), as much as I would love to walk down the beach with you, it is difficult to do at this time as I am on crutches. I do go out, but walking must be limited. Pending another surgery, I hope to be back to normal by the end of next year. Thought you should know you’d be walking with a gimpy guy before you get too far into the mess below :)
I’m not normal, abnormal, a little nutty…. "Kooky" as someone called me this year! That’s who I am… and that’s who you’ll see if you get to know me.
I’ve always been naturally curious, both mechanically and socially. I have many stories about taking things apart as a child. I’ve been fixing them since I was 10, so if I take apart your stereo… I can put it back together. (I’m kidding here…. I’ll actually wait for you to put it together ;) I've traveled all my life, and have experienced different cultures. I can fit in to almost any situation, with any group of people… but honestly, I’m casual in style and demeanor. I'll pick you up for the Theatre in a suit, with flowers in hand… but I prefer jeans and a nice tee shirt. ….. A woman in a dress and heels is certainly an insane turn on, but I prefer to date a casual women.
I'm at my best when I have someone fun to play off of.... (that would be you!) If I get animated…. and wave my arms around like a crazy person….you know you’re in! I promise not to poke you in the eye, but I can’t promise you won’t be embarrassed! While you could find me out wine tasting, at a museum, going for drinks, dinner or out for live music, I like to share the personal time at home.... watching tv, a movie, or playing video games. Yes... I'm a bit of a geek, and I play rockband! It's a fun sometimes to regress.... and it's a fun drunk game to play with friends at a party.
Being a geek, I tend to watch a lot of documentaries. I love Science and history……Sci-fi and museums! (yes… I would dress up in costume and go to a Trek convention!) I also like weird shit like “The Museum of Death” in Hollywood! If you’re not a fan of such things…. we are probably not a match!
There’s a saying “when you meet someone for the first time, you are not meeting them…. you are meeting their “representative”! ( them at their best…. most polite, dressed up etc. ) For that reason, I tend to keep first meetings simple….coffee or a drink….quiet…so I can get to know more than the facade. A walk through Venice Beach… Third street Promenade… The Grove, Downtown Disney…..and a lot of talking is a good first meeting. If the date seems to be going well... we see what happens!
Politically…. I don’t match either side. I’m a student of history and sociology, and both sides scare me. While I am no activist, here are the things I firmly believe in! I’m Pro choice (a womans body is her own business), pro gay rights and gay marriage ( I have fantastic gay friends and family, and my match will enjoy their company, not just tolerate them!) I’m no conspiracy theorist, but believe government constantly over steps its authority, law enforcement have become bullies, and firmly believe in the ENTIRE Bill of Rights…. Yes… I am Pro Gun as well….. history has taught me to be!
The mandatory list of things I like:
Biking, hiking, walking the beach, driving through the mountains, traveling, seeing weird shit, making stuff, learning new things, wine tasting, “getting to know you…. Getting to know all about you” ha ha! Pop culture, Making movie references…. Oh… and movies!
