My self-summary
I'm a playwright, actor, designer, and semi-professional gadabout who hates wearing shoes but loves wearing ties.

You'll never hear me say no to a good cocktail or a good concert.

Food trucks for life.

I could totally write you a theme song, like right now.

Life is about having adventures, howling at the moon, and making things better than they were before you got there.

Currently I'm in a long-distance, open relationship, and while I've dated polyamorous people, this is still a newer thing for me — so I'd be thrilled to meet people with similar lifestyles. That being said, I am also generally in need of some new partners-in-crime to explore the amazingness that Chicago has to offer. This includes, but is not limited to eating delicious food, drinking crazygood coffee, consuming cocktails made with love, and rocking out to live music.
What I’m doing with my life
Recently finished my MFA in writing, so finding all the ways I can to keep my pen moving.

I make dollars as a graphic designer and production artist. I have a full-time contract in the Loop and then juggle a couple other freelance clients, then write and produce plays on nights and weekends.

I make art with a new theatre collective I helped start here in Chicago, which puts on plays in strange spaces and throws dance parties. I love them. All of our meetings are at pubs.

I'm also working on my own scripts and collaborating with other companies. All summer I was bouncing over to New York to self-produce a full-length piece off-Broadway.

So: I don't sleep much.

I live in an amazing old house with some incredible people, where there's a fleet of bicycles, lots of vegan cooking, and an ever-expanding system of composting. BUT I am soon making the move to Bucktown/Wicker Park, so this summer will be amazing. Soon, right? Right???
I’m really good at
making cocktails, and also funny faces.

taking candid photographs when you don't expect it.

finding the perfect place for dinner.

drinking killer espresso.

growing a beard when needed.
The first things people usually notice about me
The peg leg.

I've been told I'm a snappy dresser, and I'm usually pretty good at soliciting giggles.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Caryl Churchill is my hero.

Sarah Kane, Sarah Ruhl, Suzan-Lori Parks, Samuel Beckett.

Children of Men, Wes Anderson, Eternal Sunshine, Requiem for a Dream.

I wanna grow up to be Bill Murray.

The Mountain Goats, Radiation City, CocoRosie, Okkervil River, Frightened Rabbit, Hospitality, Sharon Van Etten.

Schuba's is my favorite place to see concerts.

Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Arrested Development. But you already knew that.

Food should be spicy and mostly vegetarian. Except at taquerías. Then just spicy.

Friends who are ready for one more round
On a typical Friday night I am
drinking wine with friends before seeing a show.

drinking beer with friends after a show.

there's a concert you want to hit up at Schuba's. Or the Hideout. Or anywhere else that is awesome and delightful.

you'd be down for some songwriting and jamming out. Especially if you play the ukulele or the cello. I mean, come on.

you like the idea of dressing up, going to a cocktail bar, and then spouting off absurd, nonsensical descriptions of how our drinks taste.
