My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
(Sorry for caps. Annoying, I know)

“I think I could turn and live with the animals, they are so placid and self contained;
I stand and look at them long and long.
They do not sweat and whine about their condition;
They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins...
Not one is dissatisfied - not one is demented with the mania of owning things;
Not one kneels to another, nor his kind that lived thousands of years ago;
Not one is responsible or industrious over the whole earth.”

― Walt Whitman

(If only they could just put up with my whining...)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
waiting until OkCupid lets me disable this profile.

Giving the benefit of the doubt. Tipping well. Typing badly. I dream of "you want fries with that?" grad school degrees that I need to find the means to do and pick up lucky pennies to try to help my cause. (You're laughing, shut up.)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing, some say, sometimes, somewhat; writer's block more often, say the doodles in my notebook. • Finding the perfect rap or power ballad to encapsulate a moment. • Pissing off my therapist • Self Deprecation, which is what I am most proud of. That pisses her off too.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I forget i am in public, I'm humming "Jenny from The Block."
If I remember, I'm trying to hide.
If I'm here on Cupid it is *that* picture. There's a story behind it but I'm still ambivalent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I've realized the most important things are:
1. It doesn't matter what you sing. Nor how bad. It's gotta be cool to sing in a car.
2. Enjoy the restaurant. So the food isn't perfect; the service is nasty/slow. Let's make a story. The company's good.
3. Your books are intellectual. So are mine. We're like everyone else. Let's get over ourselves.
4. Movies in theaters, at least sometimes.
5. TV is not the devil. There's gotta be some show you've loved in the last 14 years? Let's relax and just be, at least sometimes.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family and friends (2- and 4-legged) 2. iPhone. (i hang my head in shame.) 3. Cheese (both the food and "cheesy" things) 4. Cozy naps. 5. Random acts of kindness. 6. Socks (my feet are always cold!)

Honorable Mention: Parentheses (Apparently)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
"The Curse of Julio Franco." (And no, i don't mean John.)
(Oh I love my Mets and I still believe; I'm Alex P. Keaton* and the Metsies sre my Santa but I can't blame you, Julio. Big mistake there. BIG.MISTAKE.)

*if, you know, Alex were female, culturally Jewish, public-television-supporting, and decided to stop talking to Reagan pictures and go Democrat but details schmetails...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
My friend got me the domain name:
Update: it expired :( (Don't you go stealing my pathetic life, you!)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Email gives me major performance anxiety. Either I edit messages like they're are going to be published or go off on long, manic tangents, knowing I'll edit -- and never send them -- if I stop, even to spell check. Writing some large research a a script... in iambic pentameter... would make me feel better than a stack of emails. I love text and IM, um, way too much.
I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi girls
  • Ages 25–39
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
*** We know each other. Here to visit friends ***

You want to tell me a story, (yay!) (IM is fine, see above.) • You appreciate wisdom and will put up with a curmudgeon to get to that nugget. • You wanna talk life. and getting by. • You're humble! (Well, I guess you don't necessarily know that...) • You want to hang on Sesame Street. (My best friend calls me "Oscar", but he seems to think I'm worth it..) • You want to hear about the pigeons....

Or if you just dig people with insomnia and like to keep 'em company.
